i’m a bouncer in new york and i saw this app come out and thought it would make my job easier. of course i read some of these reviews and thought they were just reviewed by teens that didn’t want bouncers to start using it by review bombing but i tried it myself and scanned my ID and it said it was fake, i thought that was just a system glitch so i scanned my moms ID and it said it was fake, which was unbelievable. i downloaded this with the intentions of having it make my job easier but clearly it has some issues because it’s telling me that my GOVERNMENT ID IS FAKE.

This app is really popular around the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri but it honestly doesn’t work. I’ve known people with fakes that get the green light and people with out of state legitimate ID’s that get an alert along the lines of “possible fraudulent ID.” It’s bad that the only purpose of the app is to scan ID’s to dictate whether they are real or not and it can’t even do it. If you run a business and have your employees use this app, it will lose you money from honest customers. Find another app

KC bartender here- All the bad reviews are from children who’ve had their fakes taken because of this app. We cross checked with black lights, Federal issued ID checking catalogs, and compared to real state ids. This app picks up the fakes 99.9% of the time. The IDs that don’t scan on this app only don’t scan because they’re too fake to even scan at all. This is the one you need.

The Missouri Department of Public Safety Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control provides this supplemental app to help aid with alcohol and tobacco sales compliance. The app includes built-in scanning functionality using the camera feature on the device so that you can quickly determine age and validity of an ID. This app is not a replacement for reasonable and necessary steps that may be needed to determine the age or identity of a person.
