On the 22nd of May this year, after I released my demo album, I accidentally clicked on something to update my subscription. I did not want to do this, but it charged the card used for it (it didn’t go through, and instead charged for an entire annual payment for the plan I was already on). However, instead of staying the way it should have, it started claiming that it needed to have the card verified again. I already contacted support a countless amount of times and they told me to wait a week before they could remove the pending authorization so I could continue to release my music, and so I have waited, and it still tells me the same thing every time I open the app or the site. I continue to get emails regarding the card as well, I got one on the 23rd, the 26th, and the 29th! PLEASE fix this system… I really don’t feel like waiting any longer than I was expected to. My grandpa, who owns the card used for the subscription, is just about ready for a refund… :/

3 years ago I Purchased the base $25 subscription called “musician”. For the next year everything was fine. But when it came around to the next year I got charged $90. I emailed them telling them I got charged for the wrong subscription and asking to fix it. It took them about 3 weeks with back and forth emails to finally correct it and give me my money back. It really messed up my situation at the time. The next year they charged me $90 AGAIN. So I emailed support and went back and forth for another couple of weeks until they eventually fixed it. This year my card gets declined AGAIN For the same $90 charge. I am a solo artist. I don’t need the ultimate subscription. I have multiple friends that also use distrokid and this has never happened to them before. Why is it just me. Why can’t they just fix my subscription to the one i originally purchased. If I canceled my subscription. I would have to pay $30 PER SONG and $50 PER ALBUM. How many years does this have to happen for them to eventually just fix it and give me the Musician Subscription like i originally wanted?

Distrokid has been amazing, but I was always frustrated that there wasn’t a streamlined mobile app. I work full time in addition to making music, having to do the double login thing, and then navigating through a desktop site, on a mobile device, while at work, was becoming really inconvenient, and was causing me to miss a ton of distrokid messages, slaps likes, feedback, comments, colab offers, playlist curators, legitimate offers from lables etc… I’m really psyched this came out. It’s going to make my life way easier. It looks great so far. I’m hoping Slaps is integrated into it in some way. I love how simple that platform is. Having an app would be so nice. You guys rock - UGLY-MONEY
