I was so excited to use an app that doesn’t allow photos and is upon Sunnah but it is so frustrating using this app. I paid for the unlimited, but I couldn’t login for a few weeks. I contacted them and they said they’re working on it and for now all they can do is apologize. A few weeks went by and I checked again, this time I’m able to login but can’t get past saving my profile. I click save and it doesn’t let me move on to search matches. I’m stuck under the page that states to fill out a profile. And when I exit out of the app, I’m back to a blank page that says “Fill out your profile” again. It’s so frustrating. I’m annoyed. I’m definitely going to be asking for a refund because I’ve been patient long enough. The developers need to fix it. It’s not right to be taking people’s money for an app that’s barely working. At least make it free.

Amazing! All those other Muslim marriage apps are a complete joke, if you’re looking to find someone who is serious about their religion and serious about marriage, this is the app for you. You need to pay for a membership but it’s affordable just like any other few you would pay for a matrimony. The way it works is that you have a database of brothers or sisters, each account has a profile you can click on to read an in depth explanation about them with prompts. If you are interested in matching with them, you send a match request that they will receive. If a match occurs then the man will have access to the girls Wali’s number where he will then contact him to set up a meeting. Everything is done in accordance to the Sunnah. Also you can send match requests to anyone in the world. If you live in the UK, US and Canada there are large amounts of applicants and potential spouses in the database you can choose from to match with, as the UK currently has the most amount of all 3 countries. In other countries the choices are more limited but the app is starting to grow much bigger and quicker in recent times but that’s something you want to keep in mind. The app also has lifetime membership which in my opinion is the best one to get, throughout the year they offer big discounts on it with discount codes posted on their Instagram.

So growing up I never really thought I would be using “marriage apps” or anything of the sort but tis the world we live in nowadays. Ask anybody for help and they’ll say have you tried this app or that, etc. Having tried some of the other apps like Minder, or MuzMatch personally I would say Sunnah Match is best and most geared towards marriage. It doesn’t have as a broad a user base as some of those other ones but this is a service you pay for. Everybody is serious to get married and aiming for that. The guy has to talk to either the girl’s brother or father (Wali) and then both sides can assess and see how to go. This is the way, our Prophet (SAW) recommended us to approach marriage. I’ve only met nice people thus far on here. It may lead to marriage, it may not however I feel calm in knowing I’m not compromising my Deen by “swiping right/left” and or wasting time with non-serious people just looking for someone to talk.
