Ford Money UK

Only gets 1 star as I can’t give a Zero rating!! Had nothing but problems from making first deposit, their computer says my linked account is not a uk bank account which it is! It decided this after allowing me to transfer £100s into my Ford money flexible savings account! Phoned customer services who told me to send in screenshots as prove which I did! To an email address, on their contact us page which tells you NOT to send any queries about linked accounts via that email address! But CSR said it’s ok? After 4 more phone calls, each time being told the CSR couldn’t deal with issue so would pass it up to managers or compliance dept? I now have £100s in an account which I can’t do anything with even asking customer service to close account! So if you want to sit and look at the balance in your Ford Money account, but wish to be able to do nothing with it but look at it! And you want a customer service department who wish they could help you but can’t! Ford money is for you! If you want the normal saving account where you can pay money in or withdraw it, I would strongly recommend NOT using Ford Money!! At the point of writing this review, I have still not heard from customer services, mangers or compliance department, and still have NOT been able to access the savings in my Ford money account?

I don't expect much for a savings app as it doesn't need to be anything complex or fancy. Just need to be able to view my balance, transfer and withdraw money and know that everything is secure. This app does that fine and I've never experienced any major issues since I installed it. There were a few bugs initially but Ford Money update it regularly and seem to fix stuff pretty quickly. It would be nice if it did everything I can currently do on the website but for all the core stuff it does the job!

Ford money has really decent interest savings compared to the major banks and would recommend. While I do appreciate the app it does need a lot more features like seeing in depth interest reports and statements, this also can’t handle transactions yet. So when these features come I think it would be a great app. For now it’s only good at checking your balance.
