Toyota Integrated Dashcam

I too struggled to connect with the camera. However you CarPlay and your vehicles Bluetooth fight for connection to your phone, which interferes with the connection to the dash cam. If you use an iPad and connect via WiFi that way, it works just fine. Alternatively you can shut off Bluetooth on your phone and connect easier as well. It should be more explicit on how to operate with the vehicles system, but that is why people have trouble connecting.

Even after poor reviews there seem to be no improvement to fix the bugs. App needs to be connected to a separate WiFi then I couldn’t connect CarPlay. How’s this a user friendly? Toyotas device can’t use its existing Toyotas network? Even after connecting to the WiFi it’s not connecting to the device in the app, while it tries to connect WiFi stops on the device. It’s not even integrated dashcam, what’s integrated here? Just a plain dashcam with faulty app and synchronization. If my warranty covers i would choose to return it and purchase third party dashcams that comes with its own video feedback on the cam itself. Such a poor product and app from the reputed car brand! Shame!

I purchased a 2023 Hybrid Highlander Platinum in late February 2023. I got home and set up my Dashcam, but I can’t view any of the events on my Toyota Dashcam app. I called Toyota for assistance. They instructed me to take the vehicle to my nearest Toyota Dealership. I did. I went twice and spent multiple hours waiting for assistance. Both dealerships stated that they were unfamiliar with the Dashcam and gave up trying whelp me. It’s an expensive product that I have been unable to successfully use. If anyone has any suggestions on how to use it, I would appreciate it. I’ve followed the instructions, but the app will not display any of the videos. Please help. Thank you.
