e.l.f. Cosmetics and Skincare

I’ve been a fan, customer & advocate for E.L.F. for years. Back when there wasn’t a skin care line & pretty much all of their products were under $3. Ok, this may be a wee bit of a stretch, but one could spend $15 on elf products & have a rather impressive haul for less than a $20. Then something changed. There are products I still love, but these smaller container/higher price shenanigans are not flying any longer. I miss the old days when e.l.f. made good, affordable cosmetics that everyone could afford & still look amazing. Now? The quality has diminished over the years & prices have risen. E.L.F. Is no longer that great brand that performed as well as the higher-end cosmetics. Now it is more like: well. E.L.F. has this (insert random product here) which I love, which used to be $2 and is now $15. Such a disappointment. I know you guys have to crank out a profit, but you were cranking out profits when a small square of eyeshadow was $1. I understand inflation, costs, etc…. But the price goes up & quality goes down? No. Do better! You used to be awesome…you cared about the “little guy”, your diehard customers. Now the little guy can’t afford e.l.f. Do better. Please.

I downloaded the elf app again after a year, and I can definitely see a difference. Things are running smoother than they used to. It can actually function without closing or glitching out within 5 minutes of use. I will say though, the user interface is still poor. While everything seems to hold together better, there’s some features that’s could be added. For instance: the app doesn’t seem to register the fact that I have given it my email about 4 times already. So when I want to be notified about a product being back in stock, I have to constantly put in that email. Most apps will save it to your account and link it some sort of way, so that the user isn’t always putting in the same information over and over. The reaction times for tapping buttons is slow as well. You can tell it’s rendering it and having a hard time keeping up. I’m not sure what’s up with that, but it is slow and patchy. To be honest, I’m not even mad about it, because it’s still improvement from where I first saw it. And I’m really proud of how far it’s come, proud of the people putting work into it. I notice and appreciate that.
