Durak - Card Game

But this is a phenomenal app! I’ve tried other Durak apps and this one has the best flow of the ones I’ve tried. I prefer to be able to buy an app I like, but the developer hasn’t got the ads tuned to pop up so frequently that it makes the game unplayable. It’s a fairly respectable ratio of play to ads!

I believe I have discovered the root of the problem: if I am in airplane mode (or in an area where I have no internet connectivity) the game will open fine. This makes me wonder if it is either a problem connecting with the ad server or if there is something else that the app is trying to do with an internet connection when it starts up. Earlier update: With the most recent update the game will not open, but freezes at the main screen. The developer has recommended resetting the game from the main menu, but this isn’t possible when the game won’t progress to a menu to begin with. Will change rating once the game is playable. Original review: Durak is possibly my favorite card game, and this is a very well implemented version. Lots of options so that you can play various styles. There are ads (I would prefer to be able to buy the option to disable them) but they are not overly intrusive. The game will play on, however, while the ads are showing so you will sometimes end the ad and find yourself in the middle of a hand.

Hoping they are able to fix it but after the recent update, I can no longer get it to work. There’s a gray screen that says “powered by unity” after that prompt disappears, it freezes as a gray screen. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. It’s a pity cause this is one of my favorite apps.
