Tried this for about the past week. Added in my habits I wanted to add to my life and/or track. Which was simple enough, everything cool. But the next day I went to check it and clear habits, there were a bunch of other habits that got added. Some I would have wanted down the road, not quite yet though. Some were ones I didn’t want to do at all. So I clicked each one and deactivated them. Thought that was problem solved. Didn’t know why they were added, but they were gone now. I log in and check the following day and they were there again. I didn’t understand and went through all the settings I could look in and couldn’t find anything about the app adding in habits like “suggested” or something by itself. I like the way everything is laid out, what features they have. But adding habits on it’s own and me not being able to change that or find the setting to disable that is a deal breaker for me. Now I’m not saying that it couldn’t have been user error. I maybe have done something, I don’t know. I may try it again in the near future. I’ll adjust my review accordingly.
I love the app so far. It’s straight forward and easy to use. The only issues I’ve found are that sometimes when you try to remove a habit from your routine, it won’t go away. The only success I’ve had removing a habit has been through multiple app restarts/habit removals. It also seems that habits that aren’t set up to remind you every day still show up on the “My Routine” tab every day. For example, I take probiotics twice weekly, on Monday and Thursday, but today (Tuesday) my “Take Probiotics” habit is showing incomplete. I’d love to see habit sorting options in the “My Routine” tab as well. For example, if I want to exercise at 5:30am and read at 6:30am and I have reminders set accordingly, it’d be great to have an options to sort those habits chronologically to have a better road map for my day. If this could also be implemented in a widget, I’d put it on my Lock Screen to help me stay on track seeing as I, like many, pick up my phone quite often throughout the day. All in all, I love the app and I hope that the developers will continue improving the UI. I’m definitely considering the premium version as it stands. I’d just like to see some minor quality of life improvements first.
The app didn’t download or charge correctly. I did not receive the 7 day free trial. I was also charged twice, for two different subscriptions. After looking into using the app, it did not provide what I needed or what I thought it contained for habit tracking. I was just expecting something different and did not realize this from the description. I immediately tried canceling, but found it difficult to get ahold of a refund or cancellation department. Once I did contact someone, they made all the promises to work it out, but over a week later I’m still waiting for my refund. Now this person I’m emailing at the company is questioning if I was charged, despite the fact I already sent my bank statement showing evidence. They are also questioning if I have active subscriptions, but it clearly says “active” above the subscription. After over a week of being given the run around, I decided to warn others. I will now be taking this battle to iTunes and filing a report there, if necessary. This is a huge waste of time for an app that was supposed to help me find balance in life.
