Phazr

This is a solid music visualizer that is rendered nearly useless by one major flaw. If I have my music just stored locally in a folder on my phone in the files app, and then I choose one or more of those songs to play back in Phazr, once it’s finished playing the song(s), they’ve disappeared from the files app entirely. It seems that somehow Phazr is deleting every song I play with it, without any warning or notice or anything. So basically, if you’re using this as a music player, either be prepared to lose those files after Phazr has played them, or I guess keep duplicates of everything on your phone to replace the files that Phazr will delete. Either way, it’s a pretty significant flaw that makes the app nearly unusable for playing music that you actually want to keep stored on your phone. Someone brought up the same issue in a review from October of last year, but it appears after 5-6 months, nothing has been done to solve the problem yet. Use this app at your own risk and know in advance that if you play a song in the app, it’s probably not going to be on your phone anymore after Phazr has finished playing it. Edit: I emailed the developer about the problem, and received a response the next day, and an update that fixed the problem was released shortly after. So I can much more confidently recommend this app now.

This is the first time I have been completely satisfied with any software, on any system on any platform, in the first minute of use, paid or free. It may not have the playback flexibility. of VLC, but it access files (not just darn apple music) right out of the box, and easilly. This is so important, or why store anything in files in the first place? And why have usb access? You have made my day by not intnoring those of us why actually use features apple made available, but don’t like anyone to support. And on top of that, you are now my default music player! And big note to anyone who uses this on an iPad, TOUCH THE SCREEN! That really was unexpected. one or all fingers, on all screens. Totally interactive. I am totally happy with software for the first time. When do you remember being made happy by software? Not just content or satisfied, but haappy. I vote best app on here. PERIOD.

i'm a deaf person. for a while, i've been wanting to listen to music in a more tactile way, rather than auditory since i can't hear, and this has brightened up my day so much by giving me not just the haptic option, but the visual as well. i'm so thankful to this developer for making this app free, and if a few features were added, i wouldn't mind paying to make that happen. a few suggestions: i'd love the option to have something on loop, i'd like to change the black background or maybe even the colors of some visuals, and if it is possible, an optional mode where you could turn off the visual imagery, and put your phone in the pocket without worrying about anything being touched. a few settings to reduce or alter motion, brightness would be appreciated. but i still enjoy this app a LOT even without these!
