I also experience the issue others have mentioned where the app will get stuck on the blue screen with the Abus logo, and must be force closed and reopened to unlock the lock. I also had to reinstall the app to get it to run (and pair the lock again) after restoring my phone from a backup. Other than that, I have not had any problems with the functions of the app or the lock.

I have my SmartX now for over a year and on the positive side: I was always able to open the lock with the Abus App on my iphone. Not so nice though: 1. Auto Unlock hardly ever works 2. When I start the app on my iphone (13; iOS16) it mostly appears stuck in just a blue screen. I then have to kill the app in the task manager and restart and then it comes up as expected and does the job 3. The last time the app has been updated was more than a year ago. Given the issues and the premium price you pay for the lock, I would expect more ongoing maintenance.

The lock works great!…when it wants to. I mainly opted for this because of the keyless portion of it. It definitely does work but I have to turn off my bluetooth and turn it back on and wait a couple minutes while the alarm is going off. It’s quite embarrassing, especially when out in public. Hopefully, the devs will somehow fix this issue and it’ll work at least half the time.
