I have maxed out my eBay Saved Searches, and this app allows me to add more Saved Searches. It also helps me catch finds that I would have normally missed on eBay for whatever reason. And this has happened way more than once. There are some treasures I have been searching for decades that Gem has found in a matter of weeks. I love how it combs through sites I don’t have the time to visit every day. Or maybe didn’t even know about? And I don’t get a bad case of the FOMOs like I used to.
How to make a Five Star App even better? 1) Please give us even more searches. Eighty searches is generous, but I would be willing to pay for a Premium Membership to get more. 2) Provide users with a list of all the stores the app does search so we can recommend others. 3) Add popular sites like Mercari and possibly The Real Real to the Gem search base.

As a children’s vintage clothing seller on Etsy since 2012, second to being a vintage buyer for myself since, as long as I have had spending power, I can genuinely vouch for Gem as being a go-to search engine tool for vintage, as a seasoned fashion gal. I have utilized the app as a seller for price comps as well as opened up the app waiting in line at the post office, day dreaming about a fantastic Nederland’s brand I used to buy in the early 00s just to see what pieces might come up… It is FAST, robust, and most important- unbiased- you wont get the same images showing up at the top of your screen over and over based on algorithm (paid) back-end-stuff, AND its conveniently mobile, in the palm of your hand, wherever you are. I feel like I see a lot more pieces pop up on Gem than I do on the “googz…” Have fun finding your next cherished vintage piece! And check out Rolypolyz on Etsy for baby and toddler vintage! :)

I absolutely love this app! Instead of jumping between multiple platforms to check my saved searches, Gem brings everything together in one place. With a single search, it scans all of the various vintage platforms, making it so much easier to find exactly what I’m looking for. Plus, I get notifications when new listings match my saved searches, so I never miss out. They also feature beautifully curated collections that are fun to browse, and aesthetically pleasing. As someone who can be over stimulated with an app being too busy, Gem has a clean, streamlined interface that makes the whole experience even better. It’s a must-have for anyone who wants a more efficient way to search while enjoying a thoughtfully designed app.
