I can’t say it’s the most intuitive set up, but the app does exactly what it describes. I love being able to turn on my air conditioner 30 minutes before I come home so the apartment is nice and cool. you can literally do everything in the app that you can do on the actual unit, timer included. If you want to spend hours cursing and stressing then download this app and follow the manufacturers instructions. If you’d like to save yourself the agony then remember the most important thing, and the only way you will get it to work with Wi-Fi. After you press the display button six times ,press the mode button just once. It will take a few seconds but it will make a few beeps and start going into the search mode for your Wi-Fi. That is when you press next on your device where you have the app installed . With any luck it will be connected in about 10 seconds! The included remote control is horrible, often not working at all. The wifi is a necessity for me, otherwise it’s stand on a bed each time I need to make adjustments or to power it on or off. Shame on Friedrich!

I was ready to admit defeat with the app as I followed the instructions from the manual but it didn’t work. I found a video online where you had to be in front of the unit to press the display button 6 times. Here is the most important thing, press the mode button after pressing display 6 times. Once I did that it set up straight away. I think my wife will love this app as our air conditioner is up high and my wife can’t reach the buttons. Thankfully we have a remote but having the app on our phones or iPads will be so much better.
