You do not give yourself nearly enough credit to start off. This is exactly the kind of game for me. Challenging and you can pick it up/put it down as you see fit ( as long as you can hear it, of course). I applaud thee. I have defeated all but two songs, and am perfectly happy to keep adding to my attempt count with no practice rounds. Thank you for all of the good effort put into this masterpiece. I cannot wait to dive into the recently purchased steam version for all of the player-created content!
One con: I do not think my iPhone XR can keep up on some of the later levels. It will sometimes miss on very obvious and clear non-misses ( says I hit too early or too late on painfully obvious “perfect” marks ) and it will stop vibrating mid song on a few songs, which can be distracting. This may just be my phone, however. I literally recommend this game to anyone. Casual or challenging this is the game for you! Thank you devs, I cannot wait for more content or a part two!

I’ve played this game for a while, and I’ve had a good time playing it. If you’ve played rhythm games before and like them, I would recommend this game. There are 12 main worlds, 9 extra worlds, some collab worlds, plus, there’s a DLC of you get bored of the main game. I have it on steam too, and I see a few reasons why mobile has no level editor. This is because to create an actual level, you need a song file for the music. I don’t know if you can do that on mobile though, so yeah. Another thing is that there isn’t really any way to download levels. On PC you can download the .adofai file or download levels via Steam Workshop, but there isn’t any way to do this on mobile devices. Though I still have mobile for when I’m not at home. I liked how the cursed levels were added to the game for April fools. Cool update. I wish I got to finish it though :(. Overall, it’s a pretty great game, and I’m looking forward to the switch release. Can’t wait for future updates!

TLDR: worth every penny, a few quality of life changes that I think are necessary/would make the game better.
This is one of the best or if not, the best game I’ve ever played. You don’t need to be an experienced gamer to play, and get good. It is worth every single penny. The dlc (while hard) is absolutely amazing, (even though the harder version of world five isn’t out yet) and gameplay is simple, and fun to learn, as well as being difficult to master, making the acceleration of difficulty perfect. I reached the crown island levels and 100%ed the game otherwise, and the game up to this was amazing, I can’t recommend it more.
For the devs:
After beating world b and the dlc I was slightly dissatisfied with the two new planet colors, as the diamond/true ice one looks slightly bigger than true fire and has a different trail.
Every time I close-close the app (like not just going home, but actually closing it), dlc settings like “hold tile behavior” and “invulnerability during free roam” are automatically reset to the default, being slightly annoying
I also play the game on iPad, but for some reason the dlc levels do not appear as cleared, even though I got the achievement, and clicked recover game progress using achievements
Also, all of the levels that are not main levels in the main game have the same problem
I wish the calibration would show the chosen colors of the planets
About A Dance of Fire and Ice
A Dance of Fire and Ice is a strict one-button rhythm game. Keep your focus as you guide two orbiting planets down a path without breaking their perfect equilibrium.
It's pretty hard to describe, but you should play the free online version on a desktop computer first if you are not sure if you would enjoy this game!
Features:
- More than 20 worlds, each introducing new shapes and rhythms. What do triangles, octagons or squares sound like? Each world starts with small tutorial stages and ends with a final test.
- Post-game challenges: Speed Trials for each world and a blisteringly fast bonus level for the brave.
- Calibration options: auto-calibration and manual calibration. This is a precise rhythm game, so use your ears more than your eyes when playing.
- Play new levels for free: more levels will be added over the coming months.
WARNING: This is a hard rhythm game. Not in the sense of note-spamming - for the most part all you have to do is keep a consistent beat - but this is a good test of whether you would be a good drummer. Keeping a beat is not very easy, and then weird breakbeats are added on top of that, so don't worry if you find it difficult!
