So my husband purchased the 3 camera and hub set due to him being gone in the oilfields and me being alone was his biggest fear with proof of two prior break-ins both while we were gone. This set is amazing you can filter where you want to catch activity specifically, make a schedule tailored to you and your life very fast and simple, and can record everything in 4k! My husband can check in on me while he is gone, and annoy me with the two way communication on all of the cameras as well. We are in the process of buying the wireless door bell as well as a couple extra cameras for our back yard. These cameras are the best and worth the investment, so far we have had them outdoors in Idaho weather conditions so far they are going strong in 115 degree heat in the day and the desert cold at night. The only thing I wish I could change is the company including three chargers for the cameras instead of one, because when it comes to charging them only their C-Cable charging cord will fit. Making it hard to charge all the cameras at once.

We needed a good security system and wanted something we could install and not pay for monthly service and still have access online The instructions were detailed and useful - I plugged all the cameras in to test them and the wires before Install outside I’d suggest putting the hard drive close to a router and a tv so you can plug in the hard drive and a tv easily Also if your using and older tv that has limited HDMI ports a RGB port on back of drive allows it to be connected to a tv and work just fine. I’m medium level handy and I was able to install this in about four and a half hours - when pulling wires through access point from outside to inside a house be careful with the video connections as it’s easy to bend the core cable (I bent it back into position with fine pointed needle nose pliers Also the Phillips head screws on mounting base allow you to turn camera so that led light is at top and dark motion sensor is at bottom to keep image on app and on tv used for set up in the correct position (camera image orientation must be done this way) and follow all instructions and be patient as you undo cables and I suggest once you have each cable ready connect it inside to hard drive so you know the correct end of cables are going outside and so you know that the length is correct for the cable to where you want camera placed (if you run cable outside first you may not have enough length to reach hard drive to plug in Finally make sure that your trim any tree branches or other vegetation that blocks view of camera field of vision. Great product and very useful

I bought this camera system for a vacation property so I could monitor it while not being there. The cameras went up easy and set up was easy. The issues I have is using them. Remotely, it’s very glitchy. Often it can take one to two minutes to do a playback. Recently I find I need to switch from mobile to high just to review it. Even then, it takes a long time to watch the video because it starts and stops, over and over. The other issue I have is that it constantly drops cameras. I’ve had 3 cameras that worked just fine and then they disappear from my app. Then miraculously come back days or weeks later. I just don’t understand it. I did an overhaul on the system a few weeks ago, even replacing Ethernet cables. It worked fine for a few days and then another camera disappeared. On that, there’s always one camera that constantly records video for playback and the others don’t. So one camera will leave 50 videos a day and zero for the others. I feel as though the the product is good, because from the NVR and monitor it works great, but the app is terrible. I have Arlo cameras on my other house and I can adjust the cameras so many different ways from the app. The Swann app is terrible compared to the Arlo app. You can’t hardly do anything from the app, including watching your cameras.
