Yango: taxi, food, delivery

I was using the app for a few weeks now and things were going good until I faced a problem. The driver picked up my request and didn’t bother to forward it to the next driver and at that moment I was under a bit of time stress and my phone had only 10% charge remaining. At the moment I tried dialing the hotline no one was taking the call and I missed a critical meeting expecting service from this app. It led me to understand that since they offer a much cheaper rate to customers that drivers see it as the customer is trying to take an advantage and they seem to show less care. This was my first extreme circumstance but I have had this feeling since the first few times I started using this app. I value my time much much more than the money that your app seems to save me so due to that I personally do not ever want to use this app and warn all other patrons that sometimes it is too good to be true.

I have been enjoying using the Yango app, but recently with your new feature change, I’ve found the experience less customer-friendly. Removing the option to add or subtract money from the ride fare has taken away a key tool that allowed users to navigate high-demand hours more fairly. This feature offered flexibility, especially during peak times when prices surge unexpectedly. It allowed passengers to offer a fair incentive to drivers without being forced into inflated base prices. Taking this away feels unfair to the very people who rely on Yango daily. A more balanced solution would be to enable this feature only during peak hours, when pricing becomes volatile, and lock it during off-peak times when prices are stable and equitable. That way, the system remains transparent and beneficial to both drivers and riders.

Recently I tried to order a ride to the other part of the city, and I faced a series of problems with the map. First of all, the map didn't show me my position, which is crucial and used in any other taxi app. Second of all, the drivers refused to come to my pickup location since they didn’t know where it was. And last issue that I faced is that the app itself reduced my rating because of cancelation of two rides. I don’t recommend using this app unless you want to put yourself in a stressful situations.
