Used the app successfully for ~2 weeks. It was buggy, one day it wasn’t loading my account correctly it just had 9999 in the points section. Sometimes the start now button wouldn’t work, but it would track the trip any ways if I left the app and selected trip on. Today my account no longer exists. It was signed out when I opened the app and when I tried to reset password it said my account didn’t exist. Created a new one and when I tried to sign in it says the account is not active. No email confirming that the account was created. I’m pretty annoyed because my points are likely all gone. This app also uses TAX payer dollars (federally grant funded) to operate and it’s basically junk/scam.

After I set location to always, after 24 hours the battery usage report said that the app had been running in the background for 23h39m of the prior 24 hours. Even Google Maps, which also has location set to always and has a timeline history of everywhere I’ve been and how I traveled there, only had 29m of usage for the prior 24 hours. It’s possible to track location well without being on 100% of the time—this app should be smarter about location tracking.

I thought I was the only one who have the issue. Nope. Many people are experiencing the same problem. I usually bike to work and have been using incentrip for a while. It was good until one day I tried to login and it said my account was not active. Same thing happened to my friends. A lot of them received an error message saying registration failed. Some of them tried to use commuter connections account to login, but the app crashed. I did reach out to the customer service. They said they will resolve the issue ASAP, but it have been two weeks and nothing happened.
