The music industry is constantly adapting to ever changing markets and clients. The days of record deals and booking agents are coming to a close - or at least how they have been conducted in the past. BeatGig is undoubtably the future of booking talent. Whether it’s booking a local cover band or a celebrity headliner, BeatGig is leading the way that both artists and talent buyers are able to conduct business: simplifying the process and providing ever increasing access to opportunity. While no service is perfect—and I don’t think they would claim to be so— they are constantly striving to improve their operations and consistently reach out to both their artists & clients for feedback.

I play guitar and sing in local restaurants and bars. Beatgig has really helped me to gain exposure in different markets, outside of my usual. They keep me booked particularly on days that are typically slow for me and have helped add a few hundred dollars to my income every month. Setting up an Artist profile is super easy, and they make sure to remind me every time a show is coming up. I’ve had absolutely zero issues with payment and that’s saying a lot in this industry! If you’re looking to get booked, definitely check this app out!

I was booked as a DJ. Told me to play different music than what the owners of the venue wanted, said they would connect with the owners on my behalf and then ghosted me and cancelled all my bookings. Used my likeness before asking my permission. Wasn’t a respectable business relationship. I was asked to edit this review to exclude the name of the person I was dealing with but wanted to remain transparent about my poor experience. 2 stars because they at least paid me more for the gig than I asked for, even though I was told I’d have a residency before beatgig was even involved with the process. Didn’t feel like I was genuinely valued. Actually one star because I feel like they only reached back out to me so I wouldn’t give them a bad review. Unfortunately can’t say I trust my booking agent. Would love to do more business with Beatgig but I believe in myself more than I believe in this app.
