Mini Photobooth

I needed a quick DIY app for a 1 year old party - and this was the easiest, most straightforward app for a brain dead Mom with little to no time (there are more robust apps out there, but ain’t no Mom got time for that!). The templates were so easy to use - great variety, and if I had more brain space, could have designed my own! Loved that you could customize the welcome screen. Made a makeshift booth with two tripods, a hella old iPad and ring light, and voila - an amazing keepsake for everyone. Even though the text/email service didn’t work (either because we were in a basement or I wasn’t on Wi-Fi) - it still saved all the pics that I was able to send after the party with a quick little note (highly recommend this approach!). For $20/month, this was a no brainer. I probably spent 1 hour setting this all up vs. the hours spent researching other apps. Do yourself a favor - stop researching all the other apps under the sun and just get this one.

Overall, app is great and fun. One big annoying design flaw is not having a "save" button while making custom templates and start screens. Too many times I've lost too much time having to redo edits due to the app losing and/or not saving my edits - very frustrating when you spent 15 minutes making the perfect template only to find out as soon as you leave the edit page that none of your work was saved. This happens more often than not. Compared to other similar apps, this one is very pricey for what you get but what does set it apart is the intuitive interface and tons of premade templates ready to go. You can find other apps at half the cost and with more features but good luck deciphering their interfaces. This is one is simple and straight to the point.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the app's setup and the incredible customization options for creating our own templates. However, there's a crucial quality-of-life improvement needed – the ability to undo/redo actions when decorating templates. It can be challenging to work on specific parts of the template, causing layout issues that require manual corrections. Additionally, having the option to arrange text, stickers, and backgrounds in front of or behind each other would be great. One major issue I've encountered is that in event mode, when selecting from multiple templates, the photos and videos sometimes don't align correctly with the current template, leading to orientation and layout problems. To illustrate, consider this scenario: the previous group chose template #3, while the current group opted for template #4. However, they discover that the alignment of stickers, text, and background is from template #3, while the actual photo/video content maintains the alignment of template #4. This issue renders the photo unshareable or unusable. Please address these concerns.
