Nodeshifter

This game is great! It is a lot of fun, and has really unique gameplay! However, there are a few problems. One problem is that enemies that cause a slowing effect can cause your nodes to permanently slow down. Also, if you focus on only upgrading the speed of your nodes, the game becomes incredibly easy. The enemies just die the second they reach your nodes. However, aside from that, this is a really great game, and if it wasn’t for those 2 problems, it would get 5 stars.

This game is really fun and addictive. However, maybe it is just my phone but the experience accumulation doesn’t seem to work. I’ve played a number of runs but I still haven’t unlocked a second cassette spot. My stats say I’ve made it to level 14; have accumulated 2010 SAALT; but I’ve had zero runs, zero enemies destroyed and zero Cassettes unlocked even though I’ve unlocked at least 3 of them. I think something is wrong. Still a great game though.

Like others who’ve reviewed Nodeshifter, it took me a few days to really get the hang of the controls/gameplay mechanics, but once i did - the game became an absolute joy to play. And it has the closest to perfect challenge that a game like this could have, adding much more to the level of enjoyment I got from it. I definitely have no regrets about the purchase at its regular price.... so if you’re thinking of getting it and it’s on sale; snag it! If you’re looking for something that you’ll need to put an hour or two into before it REALLY clicks with you, you’ll be glad you did. To the developer(s?), nice job! You can add another person to the list of people who’ll jump at whatever you release in the future. Thank you for the hours of entertainment you’ve provided... especially over this last year, with all the down-time and most everything closed, having stuff to fill out multiple hours every single day was badly needed. So yeah, thank you. 😋😋😋
