Santa's Secret Keeper

This app is simple and straight forward. Only one person has to have it downloaded as the app emails each person their match. You can easily block people from getting each other so that couples don’t get each other and I also block the person they got last year so you’re not always gifting for the same person. A few years back, we decided to draw names because I have 5 siblings (plus significant others included) so it allows us to focus on getting one person an awesome thoughtful gift vs having to stress about a bunch of people, make different lists to give to everyone, and saves money. This app lets us “draw” names without all having to be in the same room and you don’t have to worry about forgetting who you got because it sits safely in your email. The person who sets up the group also has access to a master list if for some reason someone accidentally deletes the email. Once you set up a group, you can add or delete members and just reset the matches each year. Takes much stress out of gift giving so you can focus on what’s really important…family.

We’re a family of 6 - mom, dad & 4 siblings. 3 of us have our spouses & there are already 4 grandkids/cousins with two on the way. Suffice to say, we started Secret Santa 4 years ago when we realised buying a gift for everyone was breaking our bank accounts. We tried paper and pencil but realised it was hard to keep track of ensuring no spouses got each other on top of, it’s easy to lose a small piece of paper if it’s not written down. Last year we tried Elfster and it worked fairly well, but we all had to create and account and it was just too much for our parents who are not all that tech savvy. This year I looked for the best Secret Santa apps and came across this one. I already had most of my family’s email addresses and it was easy to add and choose this whom should not get each other. Today (10/21) I sent the email out and it was super easy. No fuss or mess - just a tap and everyone got their match. Without staring at the master list too much, I was able to double check that everyone was picked and that there were no doubles. Love it and will use the app again!

I love this app! It’s simple and very user friendly. I have created two groups this year, and I will definitely use it next year!! It has been so fun. I used it with my group of friends with my employees at work. I don’t like the temptation of being sent a master list, but I’m trying not to peek. This is an easy way to “draw” for secret santa without everyone needing to be together or picking your own name or your spouses. I love the block feature. In one of my groups, I blocked couples and family members. It’s more limiting, but it’s more fun imo :) I cant wait for our parties! 5 stars all the way! OH, but i’d like to see a phone number option as well rather than just email! :-)
