I’ve been using this app for a few months now and it has been easy and affordable. I use it to pay my house/dog sitter when I need to be away all day. The only complaint I have is the pay option through Nest. I tried it once and it took a week for my employee to get her pay deposited in her account. Not sure how my employer gets my time on Thursday and deposits my pay the next day. Maybe they pay a lot more for a service. I switched to a work around by transferring the net pay to my employee from my checking account as we use the same Credit Union. It’s easy. Just process the payroll through nest and nest gives you the net amount to transfer. I make a note in the transfer of “Payroll”. Every quarter the taxes are pulled out for the employee and employer portions, so make sure your setting that money aside so you don’t get a surprise. Nest set up my state federal tax for me, I didn’t have to do a thing.
We used Nest Payroll for about a year and a half while we had our nanny. They provided wonderful customer support, answered all our questions, helped us get set up with tax id, provide tax payments, etc. After our nanny moved away and we switched to daycare, it was easy to cancel our subscription; we did elect to pay for the extra end of year tax form support (W-2 and Schedule H, etc.) which they’d provided wonderfully before. The app is very easy to use. Thank you so much Nest Payroll for everything- you really made the whole process very easy (which this tired momma really appreciated)! Highly recommended- they definitely earned five stars.
This is a great app! have been using this for a few months now. It is easy to use, and it has a lot of useful information within it. And the staff has been quick to response whenever I call, text, or email them with questions. There are 2 things I’d like to see upgraded: 1) to have a per pay period employer tax totals (showing the employer taxes per pay period). There is a running total for employer taxes but my employer would like to see what the amount it is each pay period that the YTD is adding up to. 2) to have a semi monthly payroll option. It’s currently only weekly pay periods. Which creates a little more work for me. (Having to cut 2 weekly paychecks, adding together the net pay of each check to pay the employee). Nothing huge that I can’t handle, but would like to have that option. Anyway the app is great and the people behind it have been so nice and helpful.
