I love cinch, and like other reviewers I have saved a ton of money with it. However I’ve recently started experiencing issues with payment, where my credit card will be charged but the transaction will not complete. Hearing from store owners, others have experiences this too. Bit of a headache, if they fix I’d give this a clean five stars
Just in the last week app was running promotions where I saved up to $50 a transaction. Not sure how the app or the restaurant makes money but it’s great for the customers. Places that I have been visiting anyway now give me discount for just using the app. Although the app does now give me incentive to visit theses places more often so perhaps that’s the hook. Hope Cinch continue to offer more vendors/restaurant choices.
My husband and I frequent a wine store near our Brooklyn apartment that was one of the first businesses to be part of Cinch. Every time we use the app to pay, we automatically save 10% on what we buy, and sometimes they run 30-50% off promotions. I have NO clue how Cinch or the store make money from selling product at half off. Hopefully the wine shop is making a profit from moving more product because I definitely buy a few more bottles (okay, a lot more) when the sales are on.
