My first experience was great. No issues with payment, the service was exactly what I booked, and everything went smoothly. That’s the only reason this isn’t a 1-star review. The second time completely changed my opinion. I got overcharged $18 and ended up receiving less service than what I booked. That alone is unacceptable. I specifically booked an add-on, and the therapist assigned to me couldn’t even provide it. That makes no sense. Why is the app allowing therapists to accept bookings for services they don’t offer? The add-on should be prioritized when matching, especially if I’m booking days in advance. Instead, my appointment was confirmed within 1–2 hours with someone who couldn’t fulfill what I paid for. Where is the logic in that? On top of that, I had no control over the situation. There’s no option to request a different therapist without canceling the entire appointment. That’s a huge problem — especially when you’re letting someone into your home. I should be able to feel comfortable with who I’m booking, not forced to either accept it or cancel everything. This is supposed to be a relaxing experience, but instead it turned into stress and frustration. Also, the lack of transparency is frustrating. You can’t even clearly see pricing or invoices unless you go digging through the app or go all the way to checkout. That shouldn’t be the case. Overall: First experience = great Second experience = overcharged, less service, no control, no transparency That’s not acceptable for a service like this. The lack of consistency on prices and service is bad, I won’t be using this app again.
I was in pain and could hardly turn my head. I am visiting the area and don’t like to drive if I don’t have to, so I decided to try a traveling massage. I found BigToe from a Google search. The App was extremely simple and I received an immediate reply for a deep tissue massage from Johanny. EXCELLENT is not enough to describe her and the massage. She also offered suggestions for exercises to continue to loosen the muscles that resulted from my job (that she said “I know exactly what you do from your pain and posture” without me saying and was 100% accurate!). She offered what the recommended timeframe is before having another session and I will ABSOLUTELY follow up! LOVED IT!!
I am what you would call a massage aficionado. I am in my fifties and have probably gotten at least a thousand (Yes, 1000) massages in the last 20 years - some here in Houston and many during my travels and living at different places in the country. In my experience, there is no spa, no app and no company that can claim that every single massage they give will be of the highest standard. However, what I look for is a company that will work with me in trying to meet my schedule and needs. In Bigtoe, I've found a combination of pricing, ease of use and customer service that makes me wanna use their app EVERY week. I must have gotten about 50 massage with them and I will tell you that I have not seen happier and more committed massage therapists on any other app or service. Do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself.
