I signed up for the free trial some time ago it just cancelled on April 4th (today being April 6th) I was not automatically charged anything and yes I have a card on file... I switched to the free membership.. you can’t rush through it or else you’ll be signing up for a longer term subscription. The “x”s out of the subscription are tiny, so you really have to be careful looking for it.. but no issues on my side even my sister downloaded it, she was going through some other problems listed here as well but when I told her the above she now also has the free version... funny thing is I’m actually choosing to enroll in the subscription the food is delicious

A bit annoyed you can’t explore the app first - immediately paywalled. Fine, I did my yearly membership. No trial as other posts suggested, but that’s fine, only $20 for a cookbook. I want my money back - this is a travesty.
The same recipe with slightly different names posted at least ten times, sometimes with a variance of “serve with asparagus”, is just a case of inflating your numbers. Of critical importance is that YOU CANT SAVE RECIPES!!! You can mark as Favorites, and it’ll stay in My Cookbook, but if I close the app, ALL MY FAVORITES DISAPPEAR!!! What’s the use of a reference that you can’t save?? I spent an hour flipping through recipes, saving ones I would love to try - went back later, and found my saved recipes are GONE!! Reinstalled, restarted my phone, same results. I’m an IT tech by trade - and ran through several paths - nothing changed. This is garbage.
Reiterating - buy anything else. Buy a freaking cookbook from Dollar General if you want - at least that one can be bookmarked with a spare piece of paper. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

So I downloaded this app, I agreed to the subscription knowing there was a trial period and I didn’t have to pay if I didn’t like it within that time frame. It keeps going into the subscription option every time I open the app and I can’t get into the actual app. I also received a kickback notice that my credit card was already charged the $45. The way it was read was I wouldn’t be charged until after the 3 day trial. That’s not true, I was immediately charged.
I tried deleting the app and uploading it again. Same problem. I can’t get into the app, let alone being charged for it right away!!! So then I decided to cancel it in my subscriptions, which I did, but it says I’ve now paid for it for an entire year. Again, no trial period.
There is no way to easily contact the developer. This is ridiculous! I’m disputing this charge. Mind you all of this, from the app being downloaded to me writing this review, it’s been 20 mins.
Also, I downloaded this and read the 3 day trial period must be cancelled 24 hours in advance.... so really it’s a 2 day trial period before being charged.... that’s false advertising. Just say there is a 2 day trial period. Highly unethical in my opinion hoping that no one reads the fine print and you make out on annual subscription knowing full and well they probably won’t cancel until the 3rd day.
