Castle Creeps TD

I love tower defense games and this is one of the best I've ever played. The levels are challenging without being impossible. I haven't needed to pay to beat any of the levels, but I've bought a couple limited time offers for the alternate hero powers and to support the developers. The game is beautiful as well! Try it out and I don't think you'll be disappointed! New content keeps being added consistently - I started playing when there were 40-50 levels and there are now almost 200. Keeping up can be a challenge! The developers are amazingly responsive as well. There are some bumps along the way since they are always adding new content, but I haven't seen any issue that they have not addressed or fixed. Check out the Reddit page if you have any questions!

This game is the worst...it’s like being in an abusive relationship. Every so often you will be able to win without spending money but whenever the game creators want to take their families on vacation or decide they can’t drive this old 2017 car they will have an “exciting new update”, which is when they basically introduce an “new” character. This new character is an old character with different hair or a beard and can be won by completing the Gauntlet!!! The gauntlet is a special event where you have to get 1.5 MILLION points to get the top tier prize which is an old character with a new costume or hairstyle with a unique name. THIS IS A MONEY TRAP!!! You can’t win this gauntlet without spending money...waves...and I mean wave of these bomb guys will come in and they will destroy every tower you have and you can’t destroy the bomb guys because you are trying to beat these pink birds that I presume are made from steel or that metal Wolverine is made out of. This game use to be fun and challenging but now it’s just a way for us to waste our money. During the holidays they had a Gauntlet where you could get 2X points and that made spending your money a little easier. Bottom line if you want to send someone else’s child to college, play this game. If you want the new and cool characters that these creative masterminds come up with skip the gauntlet and wait until it’s over and then buy the character for far less than you would spend on gems to recharge your sentinel tower so you can have a chance during the waves of bomb guys and indestructible birds.

i love tower defense games, but this one seems particularly difficult straight out of the gate and soon becomes unplayably hard without purchasing boosts, or buying currency to purchase said boosts. the gold situation is also impossible - it's bizarrely difficult to collect enough gold to unlock upgrades that you need in order to move forward - and that isn't even the "premium" currency! it's understandable to have to be very careful about gem use, but gold should be much easier to find since it's the most basic currency in the game and required for so many things. PLEASE work on the balance of this game so it can actually be entertaining beyond the first couple of levels! as it is, i'll probably be deleting and looking for something else to fill the tower defense void. EDIT: part of the gold issue results from being unable to earn extra gold by going back and replaying previous levels. you can replay, but the only way to get gold from it is to get more stars than you got before, which is incredibly limited and beyond frustrating if you already have 3-star victories on everything.
