This app was seemingly designed to tap into the reward system if my insane membrane. Grateful for the creators and all the hard work behind the scenes. Thank you.
If you are reading this looking for a reason not to smoke, I'm begging you not to. After 10+ years of stonerdom, when trying to quit, I experienced dreadful hypnic sleep (jerking awake right before falling asleep, maddening). Alternating hot/cold sweats and severe irritability get old very quick, too. It is truly so awful when you see how dependent you are on it; at one point I hadn't slept for a week and started hallucinating -- but I got over it eventually. Before, I never believed in physical addiction with THC, because we're literally taught in school that the only side effects are cotton mouth and munchies... All lies. I wish I had this knowledge 10, 12 years ago after I took my first hit. I wish I had just developed the coping skills to live my life without having to lean on substance abuse. With weed in particular, it's so hard to admit when it's a problem, especially with how readily available it is these days and with all the misinformation about it not being addictive. Thanks for this app that is specific to my problem (you feel a little silly trying to use an app intended for heroin users and alcoholics for weed. Just hits different).
I am pretty impressed with the accountability that this app provides. I have wanted to quit smoking weed so many times, but finally I was able to do it with this app. It's like a switch went on in my head and I was finally able to do it! I have been clean for 6 months and recently got a good job that DID drug test. I was super stoked when I passed with flying colors! UPDATE 2020: The new version is significantly better than the previous version, and the push notifications really help to keep me accountable. Thanks guys!!
