Crappy

This app constantly tells me that I’m going 20-25 over the speed limit when I’m not. I drive an old diesel truck and anyone who has one knows they do not accelerate quickly. Driving down country roads in a hurry in between curves I might hit ten over but it pings my speeding as being 20+ over the speed limit constantly when I can think back to my trip I just took and remember what my speedometer said. No my speedometer isn’t messed up because I have checked in many ways and know that it is accurate. Secondly the app needs to be able to say why you braked. Yeah some instance of slamming on the brakes should be dinged but there need to be excuses like a deer or oncoming car driving recklessly or maybe in a curve something happened... secondly I’ve driven for 100miles before and had one ding and it gives me four stars. They need to add a feature so that it gives you half stars 3/4 stars etc. they need to fix the phone usage part to where you can say whether or not you’re on your phone because constantly I’ll be driving and my sister or girlfriend will use my phone for the music and it dings me even though I’m not the one using it. Sometimes it has even dinged me when I aren’t even on my phone so idk what that’s about.

Car Manufacturers

Hey app developers.. You need to go to car manufacturers and have this installed into every cars internal software. A phone app will only get you so far. Here’s how it would work (it’s an easy sales pitch and should be easy to write the software. I hope your app concept is patented?). Cars now have individual driver settings for seat, side/rear view mirrors... etc. It does this by selecting a number and everything auto adjusts. This is how your product/software would know which driver is behind the wheel. It would be an automated part of the adjustment. You’d be able to monitor everything... turn signal, stop signs, speed, lane departure, tail gating.. everything. This info could be used by insurance companies to offer discounts. Imagine your app being a part of every cars internal software that would run and be hidden in the background. People could turn it off if they wanted through the car/truck/suv’s onboard touch screen.. or they could download the phone app and monitor like they do now (info transmitted via blutooth connection)... you’d be rich af.. do me a favor and send me a thank you check when you are?

Needs a few changes.

I have been using this app for a few weeks now and I can truly say it has made me a better driver. I no longer pick up my phone no matter who is texting me unless I pull off the road. That being said I think a couple of things need to be tweaked. For one, my grandchildren are in my vehicle at least 50% of the time that I am driven Mh and they frequently like to play on my phone. The ability to say that you are not the one using your phone would be nice. Like maybe a passenger is using the phone button. The other thing is that I just received a speed rating for doing 39 in a 25 mile speed zone according to the app. The speed limit was actually 35 and I was only 4 miles over. Not sure if there is a fix for that. But overall a good app.
