I like the app to see my driving discount to be applied to my next auto insurance, but it should have several improvements. The hard brakes are too sensitive. The distracted driving is also not accurate as if you go through construction areas it counts as an event, as you have to wiggle through the area, and it looks like you aren’t paying attention? Also lane changes due to minor construction also count as distraction events. So it takes a big hit on your score, then keeps your score lower… as it won’t allow you to improve to a higher score. So the discount is lower than it should or could have been. Also my wife’s car only was driven 706 miles in a year, so it should be given a discount for low mileage? Even without her doing the application, on her car as she doesn’t drive enough. I will keep it on my phone after the term is up, for payment options etc. the payment options need to be improved so you can do multiple payment card options for your total due, but you would have to be able to make a payment for less than payment in full so the first payment could be made, then the second one could be done, for payment in full.
The app is excellent. There is however one annoying issue. I forgot my log in info. And after guessing it about 4 or 5 times, I resorted to the forgot login option. I typed in my 16 digit account number, and instead of having the info sent to my on file e mail address. I received a popup that said “due to excessive failed login attempts, I need to wait 30. “. Now i don’t know if that 30 is in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks months or years. So that is corrected, kindly create a way that bypasses that feature once I prove who I am. Since my e mail is on file, and the odds of someone attempting to login to my account also having my e mail is about .01%, is that timeout feature really needed? Also, why did I not receive that popup before I attempted to get my login sent to my email vice after? Thus wasting my time. There has to be a better way to confirm the id of the member is authentic. This feature needs attention.
So my dad was driving a car that had issues and was told to test drive it at highway speeds. He did that but the car broke down and he was forced to coast the car over on the side of the highway he calls me to get a tow because he had already used all of his and the car wouldn’t turn back on so he was stranded in the cold on a Thursday night. I call them get them the info and called a few times to make sure the had a good location. The told me they’d be there around 8:55 and it was 8:20. I found my dad on the highway before them because I had to be there and waited with him. So I then look on the app to see how far they are and it said he was close. I get a call from the auto place and they told me 15 minutes and it was 8:45 at the time. Well 30 minutes later we don’t see anyone come and we call back and the guy says the call was canceled. We have never canceled a tow emergency yet it’s happened to us twice. Basically we had to call again and make another and we sat on the side of the highway in a not so safe location for 2 and a half hours till we finally got help. They also moved it to high priority!! Worst service ever
