Screen Time Parental Control

As my parents downloaded this app onto my and my siblings phone all of us were wary. The app automatically blocks YOUR apps and it is simple to get them back, but you have to keep the app running the entire time, and not lock your phone or turn it off or else they will get blocked. Additionally when you install the app a little box pops up and asks you if you let the “administrator” at screen time labs, have access to your device at all times and allow them to have the ability to go through and delete data and files from your device. This sounds bad but what is really bad is that after we all agreed to delete it a warning on our network saying that devices on our network could possibly be monitoring my device at any time. This is linked with the screen time app. Now some websites and apps have blocked me for not having a secure and private network. Would not recommend. If there was a 0 star option I would have gave it that but unfortunately the lowest is 1 star.

So I downloaded this to control my own screen time as I spend a lot of time on my phone. Within a day of getting it it deleted all of the apps that I had made on shortcuts and deleted all of my widgets. It took me over an hour to fix. (Edit from a year or two later - my phone still has a setting the prevents my apps from working after a certain time that I cannot figure out how to turn off which only happened after I downloaded the app) I also couldn’t sink my phone which you need to do for school. Let me tell you it deleted hours of work within a span of minutes I absolutely hate this app do not make the same mistake I did. Might I also add that it doesn’t actually work you cannot give your child more or less screen time and when you want to delete it even if you delete the account it still works so you need to go into settings and remove it which might I add is blocked so it’s a mess of an app I REPEAT DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!

Works like a charm with our androids. I can pause her access any time, like when supper is ready, or we need to do chores, or she broke a rule. I set up several time blocks, so she can’t access her phone during school hours except to text me, and that it does work when she rides the bus, and when she has homework. Calling is always permitted, in the event of an emergency. With the monthly fee, I track where she is, like to determine how far away the bus is, or if she is playing at her friend’s house like she is supposed to be doing, or if they disappear to the swimming hole. I can block any particular app at any time. The only negative is that the web site tracking app only works with marshmallow or [something else] which we don’t have. She is probably too young to have a phone, but with this app I can control how and when she uses it. Can y’all fix the web site tracking?
