Greenlight: For Families

As a teenager (17yo) using this it’s honestly amazing, honestly I recommend it to everyone who asks me where I got my debit card with genuine excitement. EXCITEMENT!!! & for those of you parents with teens you know we don’t generally give that reaction lightly. I can do my chores, check them off in the app through the chores feature, & at then based on how many I did get paid straight to my account at the end of the week (or other parent/guardian designated time). I can manage my savings goals at any time with ease via the dedicated feature in the General Savings area. Parents can see what their kid is spending money on, grant them funds, set automatically paid allowances based on completion of assigned chores. This is great for any teen or tween ready for their first debit card, & is an amazing resource for teaching how to properly manage your finances as a young adult. Suggestion- It is slightly annoying that when choosing how much money to transfer between your spendings/goals/savings/etc. you have to pick between the options to transfer or insert the specific amount you want to move between genres. I suggest an “All” button when moving your funds from spending to savings etc, as it would make managing the movement of my money just a little bit more efficient.

Probably one of the easiest and best kids spending app to ever exist. I recently started investing in the app and it was awesome! it showed me everything like the market value and cap. it also shows me the exact amount that the stock is currently at (either up and down). Greenlight teaches young kids along the way to become better investors and handle their money. the chore system is always good, but on this app it’s better. parents can pay their children at the end of the week (or your choice of day) for completing their chores but if they haven’t done one, they don’t get the money. parents, don’t worry about having to do everything like sending them money, esc. it is completely ai’s job to send them the money on your account to the child’s account as long as you have the money in your account. that’s right! Greenlight won’t just steal money from your direct credit card! Amazing! once you enter your credit card information you won’t ever have to do it again (unless entering a new credit card). You can also have parental controls on your child’s account including, if they want to move money from savings account to general spendings they simple just send a request. What’s even better about this app is that when you make a purchase both you and your child’s phone will get a notification, and if you make a purchase let’s say $3.87 then an extra 13 cents will round up to your saving account automatically. Parents this app will blow your mind and it will also blow your kids mind with knowledge about savings, spending, investing, and much more to come.

This app is so amazing for kids or anyone! You can add money take away money and you can also make chores for your kids to do! Your kids can make a saving chart they can learn how to invest also! You and your kid can see where they spent their money and how much they spent you can also see how much money you added and how much you took away! Your kids can not add money they can only request! You can decline or except it! If you have more than one kid that has a Greenlight don’t worry you can make more than one account! You can change your kids profile picture and your kid can too. It’s literally exactly like a debit card but with all of the features I told you! Also, in order for your kid to have a Greenlight card the parent has to pay $4.99 a month! Your kid can buy anything with this card! But… you can add money to how much they can spend on video games or at a restaurant and more but you don’t have to! They can also use it for online shopping but I would be careful with that because if they get scammed they can’t get their money back because it’s not a bank account only cards that have money from a bank can get their money back so I would just buy it as a parent yourself and then have them pay you back! One last thing, you can design their card, you can put a picture on it or just have a plain greenish tealish color! That’s it, this card is amazing and hope you get your kid one!
