Ishtar Commander for Destiny 2

The usefulness of this app, for the most part, is moderate if not low. While I find the app useful for managing which items I am using and which items are in the vault, I still feel the app is half-baked. Not only can you only manage the items currently in your possession and in the vault, you can’t even look at which items you have unlocked in your collections let alone recreate them or delete items you currently have on you, you can’t change the subclass of the class you are currently using, and you can’t even change the weapon you are using in the field, rendering the app only useful when you want to put items away in the vault or retrieve them, leaving you to wait a minimum of 15 seconds to at most a minute just to pull up your character tab to change equipment and stats in the middle of combat to suit your needs, and this is especially worse in high occupancy areas such as events that you would desperately need to switch items or subclasses in. It’s almost not even worth using in orbit due to the fact that if you remain in orbit too long without interacting with something you are completely kicked out of the game and have to wait about five minutes or so to load back in. At least if you go to the tower you can pick up bounties for your clan or for the other factions as well as turn in reward items when you go to your vault. I feel like this app is only useful for when you are pretty much afk/afc. Unless these features change, I honestly would not recommend this app.

So I initially downloaded this app only because I didn't realize how much the D2 companion app could do, BUT.. I still really liked the layout and how much detail is in everything, and how you can tap and hold on an item and it shows you all the perks it has and if you have a shader on it, making it really easy to find exactly what you're looking for.. A couple months go by and I had the app open the other day on my old iPhone (I usually always had rotation lock enabled but I had turned it off on my old phone) and I noticed that when it was turned sideways you can see everything for all 3 characters and the vault at once. Absolute game changer. I play all 3 characters regularly and constantly move stuff from one guardian to the other and discovering this little gem has made my life so much easier. No more digging and searching for which guardian has the exotics I'm looking for, and it works in the middle of crucible matches and strikes no problem. Get this app, seriously.

I have played Destiny since it's beta days on D1. I played the game religiously for a long time enjoying it every step of the way. I played like a peasant, swapping weapons and armor through the vault for over a year until I learned of Ishtar Commander. I immediately fell in love with it. The ease of use was phenomenal and the accessibility made it easy to learn. I recommended this to everyone in my clan and they all eventually started using it. No more trips to the tower to get things from the vault or switch characters. This is by far the best Destiny app I have ever used. Only problem I have now is I keep reading that it's for D2 yet it doesn't make the switch. I keep looking and nothing. I've deleted it and installed it several times and it's still stuck on D1. Would get 5 stars if this was working for D2 like the description says. UPDATE: Ishtar Commander is live on D2 and I’m so happy. Works very smoothly. 5 stars all day long. Can’t wait for the loadouts. Keep up the good work team.
