Train Driver Journeys

Trying to play the shunting and switching mode. Trying to uncouple the boxcars for 10 minutes. Tapped the uncouple button many times. Seeing the red uncoupled sign on the boxcars I thought they were uncoupled. Nope! You must then tap that red sign to complete the uncoupling. Then you must drive them to the warehouse on the west side of the yard. Ok! But there are signs like factory siding but nothing about “warehouse”. Is it Factory Siding”? No idea! Which way is west? No idea. So I followed the green arrows and tried switching so I could go in the other branch hoping the warehouse was to the right side as the left side line went out of the yard a mile or so. Not on the “west side of the yard” THERE, eh? So I come to a red signal a few miles or so later and there I sit and sit.....and sit....on a single track with no train coming towards a switching place I can see. But it is a LONG sitting. So I went forward to see what would happen. Well INFRACTION.....game over.

I'm a Model Railroader that started many years ago as a young boy. When I found this app, I was in heaven and had to have it. Not did I have to have it, I bought all the Trainz series and, once I start, I just keep playing and playing. The graphics are beautiful, and along with the trains sounds, it gives it a realism that completes the experience. If your hesitant on trying it, believe me, you won't be let down.

Ok, ok, Operator error ! I was not enjoying this previously thinking the software was at fault for my navigation ignorance. After spending more time re-building my skills with the 9 Driving sessions from the free Train Driver Journey series, I feel more comfortable and confident with it all and now it is much more enjoyable. After purchasing the Train Driver Journey Collection 1 bundle I am having a blast. Definitely passes the time and takes time if you have the time. Still working through the Journeys and learning more about the locomotives and different train cars and looking up more history on the routes and railroads on the web.
