This game feels huge. It’s a good balance for an idle game. For new players, you can hold long press a resource to set it to auto-sell, then move the tab to incoming and it will let you sell a percentage of what comes in while stocking the rest. You can even slide that to zero. This way you can accumulate resources and cash simultaneously. This should be default, but takes a couple of clicks to get to and I didn’t figure it out until my 6th universe. There is a major bug and a few intermittent minor bugs. The major bug is that any resource that is being smelted when you leave the game depletes as if you had stopped mining that resource. I can have 100k copper, mining it at 4 times the rate of consumption, and still have 0 copper when I come back if it was in the smelter. This is a major bug with idling. Make sure you do not leave a resource in the smelter that you a slow to mine. The other bug is that occasionally I’ll come back and not get the idle message telling me how long I’ve been gone. When that happens, every resource in my smelter is depleted, every ore in my crater is depleted, and I will have earned $0. That’s a little frustrating to leave the game to do it’s thing only to come back and find that everything was gone. I’m not sure what triggers this since it doesn’t happen often. The first bug happens every time without exception and I’ve just learned to manage around it. It would be nice to see these get fixed.
Im really disappointed in the developer of this game. Its great, its a fun and addictive game, but I don’t think the developer cares about it at all. He’s still hyping the visuals update (which shouldn’t of even been its own separate update tbh it should’ve came with features) and no new content/upgrades have come to the game and its been forever since the “2.0” update. Second, you keep posting “many backend fixes” yet you haven’t fixed the ONLY BUG I ever run into in this game, and that’s that idle progress isn’t tracked correctly. You can get 50 minute items to be completed in 10 minutes and you don’t gain raw ores from being idle which is so so dumb (if intentional, but I don’t think it is bc I swear sometimes I get ores but most times I don’t). That bug has been around since before the visuals update. If you’re doing “many backend fixes” then why not name some of them? It’s because you aren’t. You’re fixes nothing, or atleast you aren’t fixes real problems like the idle issue. I would love to change this to a 5 star and coming back to idle planet miner to see my progress ACTUALLY track correctly would be a great reason to. For ppl viewing this, I’ve been playing this game for over a year and no new content at all. Some weird event stuff but that’s not what we want. Atleast make an event world like adventure capitalist games. Anyways, will lower/raise rating based on response. Thank you for your time reading this
When i first started playing this game, all i thought was i could make this in scratch, and i still do. That being said despite its simplicity of coding, the gameplay is very enjoyable in comparison to many many games people make these days. You have to build the galaxy from scratch starting with low resource planets and progressing with better and more desirable resources. You can sell and start from scratch to buy permanent multipliers for your next galaxy, and even participate in challenges for permanent rewards multipliers! You can sell your resources from the ground up, selling straight ores up to alloys and then items, and progressively buy refineries to have a faster production chain. Things become exponentially more expensive to buy including the permanent multipliers, but this can be managed with buildings bought through prestige or “selling galaxy”. It is so simple yet so fresh to play. Developers like these deserve our money when they dont force ads unless you elect to watch them(increasingly rare in this market) and when they create new concepts instead of re-skinning another game and calling it their own. Props to the developers for creating this simple, yet addictive game.
