I have an accounting certification but even with that I still dread keeping track of my self employed income, mileage, expenses, etc for taxes. It’s a huge headache even for someone who completely understands what they need to do. This app syncs all of your gigs information into one app and I tested it against another similar app of its kind and this one is spot on! Also the biggest plus to me are being able to export PDF files for FREE of your income, mileage, and expenses in whatever time frame you want. It makes everything so simple. ALSO This is the ONLY app whose mileage tracker DOESN’T slow my phone down!! 🙌 You also can manually add in information as well if you forget to turn on the mileage tracker. But it’s so spot on the only info I’ve had to add was the mileage one Gig app doesn’t keep track of itself to import over to this app. I LOVE being able to see a summary of all these different metrics of each app and the totals for them all combined. It seems so simple. Almost as if you are looking at a simple paystub which is exactly how easy I was hoping this app would be! This has saved me sooo much stress!
The app is super convenient tracks ur miles lets you add ur expenses it’s like a dairy for driving. Just swipe start tracking & ur good for the day. It will even ask you if u have finished ur shift incase you forget to stop tracking. There are a few little issues that bug me & can confuse someone. You can sink whatever apps your working with like shipt door dash instacart etc.. it gives you the option of manually putting in how much you make for the day or like I said U can sink ur accounts. But when u sink ur accounts it sometimes doesn’t work like it signs me out of my shipt account all the time & I have to log back in. Same with door dash etc. it can be confusing because if it doesn’t automatically put ur earnings in so you do it & then all of a sudden they do it too. So it’s like double the earnings. That’s not good for keeping up with taxes. So I just say don’t link the accounts just manually put ur earnings & expenses in yourself. But its definitely a good app. Even comes with rewards. Check it out.
I drive for three different delivery services, and Gridwise is very helpful with tracking my mileage, related expenses, hours, and earnings. It's pretty much automatic-- I link my different accounts and the earnings from each are updated at least once per day (it's not always 100% accurate but is close enough for my purposes). One tap starts and stops the mileage and hour tracking, and expenses/extra earnings (cash tips, etc.) are easy to enter and categorize for each platform and type. All my data is aggregated and displayed in easy-to-understand graphs and charts broken down by week and platform, which I really appreciate. I rated four stars because, despite the functionality that I enjoy, it seems this app is geared more towards rideshare drivers and therefore offers a lot of options that, frankly, just get in my way. Airport/flight information and a schedule of local events would be great for people who want to know where to pick up rider fares, but that information is irrelevant for me and just clogs up my display page. If there was a way to hide this information, it would definitely make the app a lot easier and more convenient to use. Also, if the developers read this review, I would be very interested in the ability to tag individual trips with information about the retailer, customer, tip amount, etc. Furthermore, if there was a way to discern the most profitable time of day/week for each platform, it would be incredibly helpful in optimizing my earnings!
