Gin Rummy: Classic Card Game

I've played Gin Rummy card games in apps for about 10 years. Just got this one. I like the calm graphics that don't pressure you to play as quickly as some. Limitations after my first week: 1) Today, it has generated the exact game I played yesterday! I had to work thru it again to get to a new game. A few other games have also started out familiarly (I remember the scenarios and my goals with the hands), but I may have made new choices that took me down a differing path. Still, not enjoyable! 2) It is portrait orientation only. This makes the cards in my hand very skinny and I have several times pulled out the wrong card (even a melded card next to the hand!!! Oh NO! And no "back button"!!) several times. Very frustrating. I have learned to pull a card up and make sure of it before playing, but other games in landscape mode do not have this problem and extra step that distracts concentration. 3) Even though the card movements are graceful and more relaxing (good), the appearance doesn't have as many nice choices as other apps. 4) Also, the speed doesn't pressure you (good), but the prompt "it's your turn" comes up while I'm still looking at what to play! It does fade quickly, but I see no way to turn this interruption off. Sorry if any of these are just new user error, but perhaps these things could be included in design modifications? For everything I like about it, THANK YOU! I'll keep trying it a while longer.

I adore this game. Classic game and fun to play with people from all over the world. BUT the app freezes, often right in the middle of the game. The only thing I’ve been able to do is delete the app and reload it. It’s a bummer… this would be my go-to game if it worked properly. Sigh

This game is absolutely the best Rummy game available, bar none... but it has one fatal flaw! Shuffling the deck! I have seen the Opponent Knock on the first or second card more times than I can count... often from the draw! The music is outstanding, the card layout is excellent and the visible, updated score is excellent! Changing colors or back of cards is cute, but unnecessary, in my opinion... I’d much rather have a clear Support Link to alert Developer to “bugs” or serious playability issues! Also, on the last hand... before the new game... it is aggravating to sit through a video ad... just to discover you Lost! The biggest problem, however, is the random number generator used to shuffle the cards... it is terrible... obviously giving the Opponent complete Sets on the Deal, on a consistent basis... Knocks often two in a row after one or two draws... is a debilitating issue making play aggravating! It is a shame such a great game is marred by this unredeemable factor and this Review is the only way to bring it to the Developers attention! I will wait patiently for a few days, for a reassuring promise of attending to this problem versus a static response... about “thank you for your remark, we will pass it on to the Developer”... at which time I will immediately Remove the App and go viral on you!
