Its is unbelievable how skewed this game is. The algorithm is created to favor the bot. I’ve never lost so many consecutive games and I consider myself a fairly good gin player. I’ve contacted the developer multiple times explaining the obvious trends. I am asked to send a screen shot. Impossible to document as the bots card play is instantaneous. I demonstrated how the algorithm works to my husband. I could predict what card was going to come up next or how the game was going to go down. He saw the trends and he doesn’t play cards. I don’t understand why the developer would do this. This is nothing like a normal game would happen in real life.
The over abundance of ads are very disrupting. Every round brings a new one. It doesnt matter if someone ‘knocks’ after only a couple of draws. In cases like that the ad takes longer than the hand. There are too many gin rummy apps out there to waste my time waiting for around to play the next hand. This one will be replaced today.
I enjoy the game play. My only complaint is that the opponent almost never knocks, even if he has only 2-3 points. So if I knock, I almost always get undercut. And since that pays 25 points in this version I rarely win. Update: does anybody else think the cards are not random? I’ve been noticing that often when I discard something I get the very card I needed to match that. I watched today, and it happened in three games in a row. For example I had 8-10 of clubs. When I got another 10, I discarded the 8. My next draw was 9 of clubs. As I said, it happened in 3 consecutive games.
