Gem - Search Vintage

I use the GEM Vintage app almost daily, and it has completely changed how I shop for vintage and resale pieces. Being able to search multiple resale platforms all in one place is such a game changer! No more jumping from site to site hoping you don’t miss that one rare find. The notifications are amazing, especially when you’re hunting for a rare vintage piece. I also love the daily search emails they feel so intentional and actually help you stay on top of new listings without being overwhelming. It’s like having a personal vintage assistant keeping watch for you. If you’re serious about vintage, archival, or resale fashion and especially if you’re looking for something specific, this app is absolutely worth it. I genuinely love it and recommend it to anyone who wants smarter, easier vintage shopping.

As a children’s vintage clothing seller on Etsy since 2012, second to being a vintage buyer for myself since, as long as I have had spending power, I can genuinely vouch for Gem as being a go-to search engine tool for vintage, as a seasoned fashion gal. I have utilized the app as a seller for price comps as well as opened up the app waiting in line at the post office, day dreaming about a fantastic Nederland’s brand I used to buy in the early 00s just to see what pieces might come up… It is FAST, robust, and most important- unbiased- you wont get the same images showing up at the top of your screen over and over based on algorithm (paid) back-end-stuff, AND its conveniently mobile, in the palm of your hand, wherever you are. I absolutely love this app! Instead of jumping between multiple platforms to check my saved searches, Gem brings everything together in one place. With a single search, it scans all of the various vintage platforms, making it so much easier to find exactly what I’m looking for. Plus, I get notifications when new listings match my saved searches, so I never miss out. They also feature beautifully curated collections that are fun to browse, and aesthetically pleasing. As someone who can be over stimulated with an app being too busy, Gem has a clean, streamlined interface that makes the whole experience even better. It’s a must-have for anyone who wants a more efficient way to search while enjoying a thoughtfully designed app.
