Overall great game

I like the gameplay and battles, the abundance of characters and leveling them up, the rarity of acquiring elite characters, the story behind the basis of the game, and the online guild wars and competing against other players from around the world. However, I did not rate this as a 5/5 because as a longtime gamer and huge fan of RPG style games, the offline story mode is very simple and straightforward, not long enough, not enough exploring options, the story is incredibly wordy (3/4 of the game is slow storyline), and you can only catch the specialty creatures once. I have not encountered them again while grinding XP. The idea of catching certain creatures and upgrading them to use as potential party members is a very interesting idea which I like, however they quickly become obsolete once you begin the online story mode and begin collecting elite characters. I would like to see an online open world roaming portion of the game similar to the offline gameplay. As you level up I would like to be able to increase the max amount of mana available used in the online story mode and the other timed storylines, especially since the amount needed increases as you progress. And if you don’t intend to spend real world money in the game, the enjoyment of the game can be short-lived and take awhile to play. Overall, it is a fun collect-them-all game. Something also needs to be done in the game about excess character shards. Like allow them to be refunded or reforged for soul stones or something.

I’m crying

The only reason I played this game is because of the story. Yeah, the story. But after I beat chapter 11 I realize they haven’t update the story for a few years. Because of that I went depress for the whole week. Now that I think about it, Mabel they stop working on the story because they found out that thicc characters with no story background whatsoever is making more money than their main storyline that apparently no one gives a sxxt about. But maybe I’m wrong because they are actually updating the original storyline in the “original world” which is proven by this update and the “fate/zero” prequel of the main character’s dad. BUT EVEN IF THEY ARE ACTUALLY UPDATING THE SIDE STORY I STILL DON’T THINK THEY ARE GONNA UPDATE THE MAINSTORYLINE BECAUSE ITS MAKING THEM NO MONEY. And this can be proven by their character art style, the original art style is a very classic fantasy art style with beautiful details but after they found out that fantasy can’t beat cultured art, then they start making cultured characters that actually had a “reason” to be cultured but idk why but for some reason all they draw now is cultured characters and stop update the storyline and start powercreping old characters to a point that new one characters can bossraid an entire team of old characters which make me very sad since this game is actually a “turn-based ‘strategy’ game” with really good game mechanics. But at the end, all I want to say is PLEASE UPDATE THE MAIN STORYLINE and I don’t care about anything else.

Not what I was hoping for

I discovered this game through ads. And it was the usual, ads are nothing like the actual game. The ads portrayed a completely different game. The multiple ads I saw showed an open world exploration rpg with horror and mystery elements. This is not true. The game is, yes, a mostly open world rpg when npcs aren’t blocking your way. Horror is nowhere to be found. I’m mostly through the offline story and most of it was a stereotypical op main character and fighting the bad guys with an all-to generic plot. I say almost through the story because I’ve reached a point where I can’t get any further- all my characters are too weak. But the rate of getting an SSR character is absolutely horrendous, as the other reviews have said. It’s a very pay to win kind of gatcha, so I’m entirely screwed. I’ve hit a dead end playing a game I’d hoped would turn into what I was anticipating. What’s more, I was completely unaware fighting was part of the game until coming to the App Store. But this is where the game shines. It’s a challenging battle and strategy set up. I don’t tend to like battling games like this but I did enjoy it enough to play until I reached my dead end. The game is also beautiful. It’s semi pixelated but still rather pretty. I’m very disheartened as I was excited to play this imaginary game the ads showed off. But the game proves to be entertaining enough to a point.

I’m not titling this

When I first saw this game I thought it was going to be like pokemon. And I was SOOO WRONG!! This game is a wonderful adventure full of things you can do outside of the story line, there’s even social platforms with other players if you have questions or need help! The whole thing is quite positive, the summonings may look a little 18+ but there not really. And with that all the available characters you can get if you just stop to interact with bushes or people on the way is amazing!! Half of my team are just awesome people I fought! It doesn’t have any effect on the story line to change out a few “main characters”. Even if the character you have is weak you can get weapons for them and little add one to make them more powerful! Is a blast!! You will find some similarities with Pokémon based on evolution, bushes and a few more.. but that’s what makes this game more fun! You feel a small connection to it that makes your heart warm a little. Even if you play and don’t agree with me, this game is still a fun one and worth the time to download.

Fun Game That Hates New Players

I got this game and plowed through the main Offline story in a week. It's an enjoyable, pokemon-esque feel. Then, reality sets in... the developers hate new players and want to bleed you dry. First off all...SSR character draw rates are abysmal. At best, on banners for specific characters, you have .07% chance of summoning. You are, however, guaranteed for 1 in 500 summons, minimum. The only SSR guaranteed summons are for paid stones, which costs $24. Not worth it. New players struggle to hit 1 million power in a single battalion, so forget about raids or towers getting you good rewards, and with such limited mana, I find myself grinding low levels for limited time events. I wish there was a way to get guaranteed SSR characters: even just the crestbearer versions of Finn and Rizette maybe. Many other gachas give you a chance to get free 5 star or SSR characters that are surprisingly good without the need to rely on summons (and their SSR summoning banners have better odds). I'm talking about games like Another Eden. This game is fun, but it's been out for years. A F2P player like me would take years to get any decent fighters worth having since I can't advance in Arena, can't climb much higher than floor 40 in tower, can't complete EX dungeons for limited events, and can't participate in raids. This is a paid app... or it was when I got it. I wish they would stop trying to bleed me dry

Lost all my data!

I like this game but they don’t tell you how to do some things. One being how to combine character for higher levels or to get their star. Yes, you can fiddle around or look it up. I payed just to play so I shouldn’t have to look it up. Also my game kept crashing and telling me you’re not connected to the internet and I was in fact connected to it. Then it black screened and I had to delete the game and reload. This is the other part. Theirs a data recovery and download all buttons on the main page. I thought data recovery was to recover my lost stuff from when I played but it deletes it and replaced it with data of when you have to play the intro again. When I realized it was download it was to late. Download all I think was to get my old data back. I put hours into the game and it’s all gone. I’m just glade I didn’t put money into it except when you first get it. Love the art and characters fell the story could have been longer for what is pretty much an intro. However, I feel online and offline gameplay unnecessary because once you finish the first half it’s not necessary anymore and the catching element of the game is lost. Why have it at all if you can just put a free pull for the same thing. Not to mention if you do pull the majority of the monsters you can get in offline aren’t even useful especially for the online part. Then why go from being able to run around to not. It’s like they can’t decide which direction to go in. I like both ideas but I’d prefer just one.
