I was determined not to use hints, so sometimes I set the game down and came back to it, and then could totally figure it out. Great game play and backdrop. Only hint I used was for the Amidakuji puzzle as I was not aware of how it worked. My wish is that those who either don’t understand these kind of puzzles are in their minds are offensive, just don’t give a rating. This game deserves 5 stars, and to give it one is ridiculous. Great job!
This game really exceeded my expectations. Most free games are pretty short, this one had tons of play time. The puzzles were interesting and not repetitive. The game was set in a village (as indicitaged by you know, the title), and had lots of different areas to explore. I liked that some of the world wasn’t available at first to keep thjngs from being overwhelming. I also liked that the keys were labeled as running around and trying the many locks would have been frustrating. As another reviewer mentioned it’s also nice that areas that weren’t needed any more become unclickable to help guide you to where you need to go. There is a really helpful hint system if you do get stuck. I would prefer the option to pay instead of watching ads to get hints, but love that the developer makes it so ads aren’t popping up all the time. It’s pretty much just when you need a hint, and sometimes when you click into another app for a bit. There were just a couple of areas that weren’t obviously clickable and were a bit obscured by the screen view, but they really aren’t that hard to find. A map would have been really nice to have, especially one with fast travel to at least general locations, but this is a bit of nit picking as it doesn’t take that long to get from one side of the village to another. Between most locations there isn’t any lag to load the new spot. Overall I would give it a 4.5 if I could. Great game, recommend it :)
I really enjoyed this game. I like how the puzzles are challenging but not overly complicated. I also like how when an area is finished, you can no longer click on it, so that you know you are to move on. I liked how there were different areas but they were all interconnected. Again, I can’t wait for the next one!
