Era of Legends - Shadow of War

I just started playing about 10 minutes ago or so. I’m now level 4, and received my first mount, a white bear. I can’t tell you much about the game yet, and I haven’t seen any other players in the game yet, so it might be like a tutorial, but that’s pure speculation at this point, or maybe I’m just on a dead server. I chose this game because from what I found about it, it most resembled World of Warcraft for mobile. Some of the characters and classes in the intro video definitely remind me of it. So do some of the class names, and the scenery of the castle when you take the gryphon reminded me a lot of Stormwind. They even have a knock-off Goldshire down the road called Beckshire or something . I’d love to rate and write a better review once I get farther. I don’t really like the auto run/attack/hand in quest. That’s what a lot of these mobile games are using lately. It doesn’t even feel like a game with all that. I like the yellow marker for where quests are and directions are a plus, but I need to actually play it to enjoy it, and there’s so much dialogue with no voice actor, so I’ve skipped every one of those. I suppose that button is nice. It’s nice that you don’t have to auto run though. I’m looking forward to finding other players to level with. I chose a shaman to heal my group. I saw a list of people looking for “teams”, but there were only a few. I don’t think there are guilds, but I hope I’m wrong.

Not super pay to win. Technically it is but it’s enjoyable as a f2p. I’ve spent 30$ and only 20$ usefully and I’m top 30 on my server. Skill can make you beat people far more powerful which is GREAT. I win mvps in pvp. Can definitely see that changing and game becoming more pay to win. Your rewards from dailies as you level don’t go up but the costs to upgrade do. On server 10 and worst come to worst you can pay 5$ every monthish or so and be a competitive player in pve. Like I said though I’m sure it will be different when we reach lvl 60. On this game theirs a XP limit but it’s still fun so highest level on my server is 48 rn. 1 star because a lot of people can’t get loot in dungeons and they don’t address it. They have a Facebook and a site yet the issue isn’t brought up and I know it’s effecting a lot of players. Missing out on rewards I won’t be able to make up for. Utter BS. Makes me want to rage quit. If you like to tank which is all i do or like wow this is for you. Don’t comment referring me to a site do me a favor and say their either is or isn’t a fix instead of leaving us in the dark. Edit: changes 1 star to 5 star I just wish their was more communication with changes made to the game like easily accessible patch notes

So far, I actually like this game. It is completely p2w in regards to pvp, but what mmo is not at this point. The developers need to get paid and should get paid so I’m fine with it. I actually enjoy the quest line. The biggest point in its favor is that it has manage to temper auto play well. There is some auto questing for leveling, but it is not like most new games where you are just watching the game play itself most of the time. It is open world, and so far I like it. It is as close to the original Order and Chaos as I have found, which is a good thing. My only complaint is the dungeon queue. Please address this problem. Unless you are running the newest dungeon (meaning you can never fall behind), you will almost never be able to queue dungeons through random matchups. Some suggestions: 1) advertise to increase player population, so the other dungeons will queue, 2) merge servers with other servers with lower level players so dungeons will queue, or 3) (this being my main suggestion), redesign the dungeon queue so we can select numerous dungeons to matchup in at the same time so that when the conditions are met for one of the 5 or so dungeons I’m queuing, then I can enter (instead of being able to queue only one dungeon at a time and being in queue limbo forever).
