I don’t think I’ve ever left a written review for an app but I felt compelled to share how much I love this emulator! It is the RonCo set-it-and-forget-it of emulator apps for iOS. I have only one question/concern…does it support controllers? The haptic response is great, don’t get me wrong, but how great would a full screen game with external peripherals be, amiright? Anywho, thanks for making the process headache free and ready to go as soon as you install. And yes, I purchased the full install, eff that subscribe shnizz. I want it ALL, and I want it NOW!
No support. Can’t reach anyone. No controller support. Can’t save to ROM, only save state and only one per game. $20/yr isn’t worth what’s less than the other free emulators on the App Store. Full review below: —————— The big selling point for me was the ability to trade and battle Pokemon on emulation. That alone was worth the $20/annual fee. It’s as basic as emulators get, which is actually a good thing. The problem is the customization. There is very little control given to the user over this experience. I don’t seem to be able to connect a controller, my profile only contains my name, and the saves don’t affect the roms at all. Meaning, it starts it fresh EVERY TIME. The only way to save your game is through the in-emulator save-state. So if you have a game with multiple saves, sorry, you only get the one now. It just has bizarre limitations that aren’t apparent from the start. I wanted this emulator to be so much more, but it just misses the obvious things.
If I can figure out a way to play the games using actual remotes that would be cool. I imagine there’s a PC version of this app in which that’s possible. Other than that, though being able to go back and play some of these games has been a wonderful nostalgia trip. What I felt was thankful that this app even existed. Really brilliant. I’m Not a big tech guy in the sense that I know how to use my phone like your average consumer me and I do basic web surfing. So although I’m aware that emulators have existed for sometime yet for an app that brings a bunch of these classic games together in one location to exist for a normie like me. Is absolutely awesome. Really great job guys thank you!
