I’ve been wanting to learn languages ever since 2020 (because of covid, I had nothing better to do) and decided to learn korean. at first I used websites and wrote 4 pages of information every day, but after a year of doing that, I was getting bored, losing motivation and just wasn’t learning as much as I thought I would, but then… I saw this app and decided to give it a try. not only is it teaching me in a way where I keep my motivation up, but it’s almost as if I’m having a conversation with a friend (through text) and feels realistic. the problem is, there might be kids or even adults who want to learn korean and stumble across this app, but aren’t able to proceed onto more lessons because of the premium. I personally don’t wanna to spend well over $40 for premium (the prices are INSANE). I love the app and it’s concept, but when I found out about this (especially the prices) I basically stopped using the app in general and even repeated the same lessons I had already done because there was nothing more for me to use besides buying premium. I would bring down the price to around $20 or even unlock a lesson every day (only if that person succeeds in getting all questions right). maybe even adding coins in where if they get all questions right, they get 3 coins and one lesson could be 1 coin, that way we can still learn while having our motivation still being there. other than the prices of premium and the fact that premium isn’t even there to begin with (I would prefer you guys giving ads every once in awhile <like atleast 30 second ads per lesson> more than premium) I like the app and thoroughly enjoy using it! I would recommend it if these things could get changed. I hope you take my feedback into consideration ‼️
I personally love this app because I love how you can have a challenge but also learning something is very challenging. However, it is very educational and I’m actually running thinks it’s not too hard to the point where I’m confused stuck but it is a little challenging to wear my brain has the process what is going on I love this app and I read it five out of five because it is amazing. It’s always amazing and keep up the good work because it truly is amazing and I’m glad I have an app like this because I really am interested in learning Korean and this app helps me learn the writing style. I’ve learned a lot so far in just a little time and although I haven’t made much progress, I still do love this app there is one issue though which is the point that when I try to go onto a new lesson I can’t, and end up running out of my lesson for the day because I end up retaking the one from yesterday if you could show me how to fix this then everything would be all right and I would give this a five out of five again thank you❤️
My previous review highlighted some issues I’d been having with the app but those were fixed within around a day of my review (coincidence, I’m sure but still awesome!). So, my review of the app now that it’s working again is as follows: This app works like a chat bot to get you typing in Korean IMMEDIATELY, which is a huge help to anyone trying to learn Korean, or any language that doesn’t use their native language’s writing system, because it forces the learner to become not just verbally fluent but also literate as well. I had taken 1st Year Korean in college but that was over 10 years ago and most all of the vocabulary and etc that I learned has fallen by the wayside, save for a few words that share common roots with Japanese (which I am near fluent in). So now I’m trying to pick it back up, but without hours a day to devote to studying since I work full time. Eggbun makes this feel less like a task and more like a friendly conversation. I also appreciate the grammar lessons I see are coming up later in the course (from where I am now). I’m not too far into the lessons since I’m using the app for free at the moment, but the app allows you one free lesson every 24 hours which is GREAT, and also helps keep you from overwhelming yourself at one time. My only suggestion for the app, for free users, would be that it would be nice to know approximately how long I have until I can take my next free lesson. So, if I tried to access the next lesson too soon, it might say “5 hours to go” or something like that?
