Sigh, portrait only!!

This works on an iPad, but not in landscape, which is really annoying. The iPad’s keyboard only works in landscape (Apple, please figure out a way to solve this!!), but it would surely be easier for the app to allow landscape. You can separate the iPad from its keyboard and hold it in portrait mode, and it’s fine for the “photos” themselves. Other than that, it’s quite useful as a general guide. I think people’s expectations are rather high - you’re only getting a rough idea! Let your imagination do the rest.

Fk u masking tape

This app is so annoying to use. It could be great. But it paints the wrong things and isn’t particularly touch sensitive, and the masking tape feature is really odd because it seems to result in a lot of progress being undone even when I don’t seem to have any areas masked? Idk but the little tape symbol disappears and then the next time I tap the screen everything is gone. This has genuinely brought me to tears cause I don’t even know how to stop it. Things like door handles, bed frames, actually any furniture cause problems. Oh also if you have any stains on your walls those show through the filter applied, but I guess it’s so the texture of things like wood can show through. another annoying thing is that you can’t just search the sort of colour your want you have to know the name. “Dark red” won’t pull anything up. You have to go through the colour book thing. Oh unrelated to the app performance but the colour selection is kinda wack because there’s so many creams and whites that look near identical and then there’s maybe a couple reds and you have to give a lot of wiggle room on what constitutes a red. Something I think could be added would be the option to choose a sheen with the visualiser, but I guess that’s difficult. Features I like: the colour picker tool works pretty well, and the inspiration boards are nice

Hmm...

Interesting idea but colour will not look the same and since decorating is about picking that right subtle shade, this isn’t going to really work other than confirming colour spectrums you either like or don’t like (yellow, red and so forth). However most people probably have a feeling for colour that work or won’t work in a room so we come back to subtle differences in shades which this doesn’t show properly - how can it? Paint looks different in different lighting, etc and the phone isn’t going to truly represent the colour. Also the app bleeds the colour to skirting and floors which makes it look messy. Two stars for an app that is nice to use and gives a false impression of natural colour rendering.
