Coming from other A&H consoles & companion apps the home tab is missed. Easy access to all meters and RTA view. This should be here. Also, maybe a group view selector instead of swiping through inputs quickly jumping to a bank of 8 (without setting up a custom view) would be nice.
I have used this app many times with many dLive configurations (both touring and install) and I should say this app does come in handy with any and all configurations. I started with iLive years ago and I must say that was frustrating to work with. Then I used GLD, QU, and SQ, and now dLive apps, and again, these are really well built and thought about. Those that expect this app to replace the surface should not own a dLive system.. just wanted to start off with that. So I do want to stress that this should not be used to replace the surface but to instead help. What I also love is the fact that compared to the ilive, and qu apps, the (my 12.9) iPad Pro adds more channels on the screen as compared to on the smaller devices. The older apps would just give you 8 channels and just blow them up on the iPad Pro. So BIG change that makes things just a little easier.
Good simple interface. Love the two independent rows. Killer features needed: scene control, FX control. Scene is an absolute MUST! our mixer doesn’t sit in the main sound field, so we love on our iPad quite often. We can’t utilize the power of scenes since we can’t control the changes from our iPad. Contemplating switching to a surface pro and use Director instead.
