Dearborn Real Estate Exam Prep

The 3 stars are because I enjoyed using the app and some of the study material was helpful. I used it every way possible. I took all the quizzes in all the categories, created custom quizzes, and went back over and studied the things I wasn’t getting right until I was getting 100% on everything. Then I went to take my test and thought, “Where is all the material I studied?” I don’t have test anxiety, and I have strong reading comprehension and writing skills. I just barely passed the exam. I’m reading reviews by people who are thrilled to have gotten an 85%. Everyone knows real estate exams are extremely difficult, but why can’t a study tool be designed to match that standard; and for those of us who study it the hardest be better rewarded for our efforts? Is it satisfactory to have a country full of realtors who only know 75 to 85% of the agreed-upon standard? I’ve been thinking about writing this review since I tested in June. I’m left with this thought: If it’s not uncommon for people to have to take the test multiple times (more $$$ to the real estate commission) which requires more learning or keeping a subscription another month (more $$$ to the education businesses…) could the system be designed for more money to be made before the mark is finally hit?

This app was great to use in studying for the real estate exam. For me it mainly worked on my quick memory recall on real estate terms, analyzing situations and doing math problems. The ability to label the questions so you can answer it again later was a big help as well. I just kept retaking the questions until I knew the answers to all. I also reset all the questions and answered them again. I passed the exam on the first try! The exam is not easy at all! The questions are worded very different than the Dearborn app and book. I wished the questions in the app were not the same as the book (only some seemed different). Also wish they had a state version to study, although the state version of the exam was much easier than the general portion. I would 100% recommend this app for studying for the exam. Very easy to use and you can practice anywhere from your phone.

I recently took, and passed, the real estate exam in New Hampshire!!! The program I went to used the 20th edition (big yellow book) and inside the yellow book was a green tear away card for the app. I was never one to purchase a subscription, but I opted to give this app a try, as a fellow classmate had raved about it. I’d did the one month subscription, and boy it paid off!!! The questions were worded in a way very similar to the actual exam I took (in regards to the national questions). I took quizzes daily on top of reading the book cover to cover twice and preparing over 700 hand written flash cards. Like anything, you will get out what you put into it, so study hard, read the book, and this app might be a great tool to help you prepare for your exam, it sure was helpful for me!
