FNP Exam Mastery | Prep 2026

FNP Mastery is worth the investment so long as you put in the effort. I started using this app casually during the last semester of NP school and really committed to daily practice and learning when I started to study for boards. It works if you work it! Some of the questions are simple recall and others really challenge you to think critically. Not every question is meant to mimic what is on the exam but more to train you to decipher and break down difficult questions. The explanations are so important to review. There are lots of helpful videos and pictures also throughout the app. I found helpful nuggets in the discussion boards from fellow students (tips and mnemonics) that I’m sure contributed to my success. Overall a fantastic app that I feel prepared me well for ANCC certification exam. Thank you FNP Mastery! Good luck future NP candidates!

I used FNP Mastery for 40 days leading up to my exam. I appreciated the ANCC-specific question types could be accessed separately for focused prep. Also, can go to population specific questions (I am weaker on peds) OR system-focused questions (I needed extra help on cardiac). Generally I used the “shuffle all” to work through the 2500 question bank. Definitely high ROI, IMO. The comprehensive rationales, EB videos, and responsiveness by FNP Mastery Experts in the discussion “comment” section of each question was impressive. I contacted app support once for a question format that was being finicky on mobile app, and tech support got back to me <12hrs to report the fix being done on their end, and then they f/u w/ me a week later to ensure problem was still resolved. Great app. Recommend.

I’ve had several issues. #1 the app has trouble keeping track of progress. In one area it may show I have completed 580 questions, progress section may show 555 for example. #2 using the daily goal is frustrating as I set it to 100 questions and often know I have surpassed 100 in a day but it will show that I have completed 90. If I go answer 10 more it still shows 90. #3 the timing does not seem to correlate with my phones local time. Sometimes I will get a notification that I completed my daily goal early in the day well before I have answered 100 questions according to my local time. For example, I do questions on a Wednesday evening and can see it logging them to Thursday. #4 commenting/discussions on the app do not let you see what you type as you type it as it fills a text box below the keyboard. If I scroll down, it immediate scrolls up and away from the text as soon as I type again. #6 if I check my progress then try to go back to the questions, the app force closes and I have to relaunch. Almost every time. As far as content, this seems appropriate to help set the student up for AANC as it has numerous role, regulation, ethics, Medicare/Medicaid type questions. It also uses select all that apply. It would likely be beneficial in preparing for AANP as well.
