CookUnity - A Chef Marketplace

Not only do I have delicious food to eat from a different chef around the world at my fingertips; but I’ve actually lost a ton of weight because the food I am eating is so healthy! I concentrate on ordering the meals that are high in protein and low in fat. All of the ingredients are spelled right out, so you can work around dietary restrictions (like I am allergic to dairy). When you set up your profile, you highlight your favorite meats, fish, vegetables, etc. If you don’t have time to make selections one week, they will fill your basket with great, new, delicious ideas… Perhaps my favorite thing of all is - none of the meals I have ordered take more than a couple of minutes to prepare! The meals come fresh; not frozen, they go right in your refrigerator and you can cook them either in your oven or microwave. For someone who is on the go, go, go, this has been a game-changer!!! We are eating much healthier. We don’t eat Cook Unity every night, but on those nights we don’t feel like big meal prep - this is our go-to. I cannot say enough good things about Cook Unity!

I’m so grateful I found CookUnity. I had tried EveryPlate and Hello Fresh, which the meals were good, but significantly more time and effort than they let on. I just don’t currently have the bandwidth to do all that right now. I decided to at least TRY a premade meal service instead, although felt a little skeptical that premade meals would be good. I was pleasantly surprised! There are so many tasty options, so many opportunities to try new things from different cultures, so much info about the meals, to assist in making decisions. Nutrition facts, meal descriptions, ingredients list, macro breakdown, and my favorite, ratings and reviews. You can tailor your search results in so many ways, you can save your favorites, you can make multiple preference profiles… the list goes on and on. It can be a little on the pricy side, but if you tend to struggle to plan and/or cook and often end up eating out or getting take out, these will save you some money and some time and trouble. I order them every week now. My husband has plenty of meals for work, my picky teen daughter enjoys picking out which meals she wants for the week, and I have less shopping, cooking, and dishes to do.

I’ve been a customer for a while and Cookunity has become almost a weekly habit for us at this point. The food is the best at-home service out there, which I’d expect with real chefs creating the recipes. We mostly use the App as it’s the most convenient, but also use the site if we are casually browsing the menu together. The App used to crash and give errors at times so we’d have to use the site more, but it’s been better lately which I’m happy about because the App is easier when on the move. We do try to always pick meals ourselves because the few times we missed the deadline we get the same food. If I could give feedback it would be the menu is large which is why we love Cookunity, but we like to try new things and it takes time to browse everything each week. I wish there were more personally curated parts of the menu based on what I select in my eating preferences and what I like. But overall the App is fun and easy and we wanted to say thank you to Cookunity, it’s made our eating lives easier and we love supporting new chefs. Are there ever events at restaurants with the chefs in person?
