I’ve been playing this game for about a week or two now. I just want to say that I like this game. I like the fact that Devs really make sure that the game is balance. For example even if you spend money, you will not be “op”. You will be ahead of the people who does not spend money but, you will not be too far ahead. Looking through the 1 star reviews, I can see where they are coming from. The cost of resources to upgrade anything in this game might be a bit much but, at the same time it is also fair. The “Idle” part of the game farm all those resources for you slowly. When it comes to game progression, it might be too slow for some people but in my opinion it is not too fast and it is not too slow. If it too fast or too slow it will get really boring. The tempo is perfect. The game wants you to get to know different character and different strategies. The random attack or defense from 0 to whatever you have on the character is a little too random. If my character have 20 attack and the enemy have 5 defense, my character should be able to do more than 0-5 damage average. Sometime my character will do up to 15 damage critical but also will do 0 or 1 damage randomly. When it comes to the game currency “Gold”, I’m not sure how to feel about this one. Overall I do recommend this game to anyone who like a little grind.
I personally think the game is great I really like the aspect of your shield doing 0-1 or 0-15 depending on how much shield you have and same for attack and health. The system works well, the grinding of gear from chests or certain enemies can be a struggle, but I feel like the game is meant to be difficult at times and nowadays there’s no challenge to games so I believe this is a great mix of challenges. One thing I wish the game had was a station to create that potion that can revive/give health to all your characters. Because so far I feel like I only get them out of the fragments wheel and even then that’s a 1/10 chance to get it. On common anyways. I think the store, tavern, alchemy, blacksmith, and hospital there purposes are great. The store you can buy gear at only can’t buy a potion or anything else which is fine. The tavern being able to show/recruit new characters. The alchemy being able to upgrade your wagon stats, idle time, and characters health. Blacksmith can make your own gear. And the hospital reduces the time it takes for your characters to recover from battle. Now these can all be updated too allowing better gear in stores, reducing recovery time further, and being able to make better gear. Overall it’s a great game and I hope the developers continue to work hard at it!
This has a great concept, good start and is mercifully devoid of ads (after the very beginning). There are a few major issues I’m hoping will be addressed in future 1. The game is pretty slow/boring and there’s not a lot to do. Rather than a game you play, it’s more a background app you check in on every once in a while 2. While you can refocus on your own castle, there’s no general map where you can see what parts you’ve unlocked already, also everything is pretty spread out so you’re dealing with large swaths of territory pretty early without anything visuals or active choices that really differentiate your village. So it feels kind of random rather than building up YOUR town/settlement 3. Time to heal is based on the # of lives a character has, but many of those lives are based on the characters gear. So if you strip characters as soon as they get back from a mission they heal much faster. Healing time should be based on character level or xp, rather than lives that can be added and removed at will 4. The mph/kph stat for the resource carts is pretty useless without knowing how far each resource is from the castle. It’d be much better to just do the math and say xresources/hour. It would be cool to keep cart speed and capacity as stats shown during an upgrade but ultimately not necessary to have on the side dashboard. 5. The perspective is very god-like and there’s only so far you can zoom in which adds to the passive feeling of the game. Love VFO Looking forward to what’s next!
