Brookline Bank Mobile

I wanted to use online banking like everyone else but it is completely impossible to set up without the account number. On the statement I receive in the mail each month the geniuses running the bank have decided recently to xxxx out all but the last 4 digits to keep people from being able to set up mobile banking. I only use the debit card and have never had checks. I called customer service and the policy there is to be completely unhelpful and not tell you what your account number is over the phone. Since the bank has limited hours only being open when people are at work i guess i have to close my account and find a different bank.

It froze during setting up a transfer for $1 to a new person for what seemed like an entire day. It takes several days to pay people using the Zelle feature. The way to PoP money or send people to people transfer is hidden, and I have to ask people for much more of their information so then they sometimes become suspicious and we end up using another app.

This new version is a vast improvement from the previous version. My chief complaint previously was how slow it was. For example, scrolling down to see additional balances would hang, lasting several seconds. This new app is much faster. In fact, it is the fastest app I own, better than the other banking or financial apps.
