Boldr resolved my presence sensing issues and it’s been working well since. Everything seems to working as advertised, I’m very pleased.
I wanted to like this thermostat, but the setup and app experience have been extremely frustrating. From day one, I had to call customer support just to get the app to control the unit at all. Recently, I needed to change Wi-Fi networks, and that turned into another long ordeal. I came close to getting it back online once, but could never fully complete the process. After attempting a factory reset, the screen instructed me to “hold phone near unit,” but nothing ever happened. I eventually went into my phone’s Wi-Fi settings and connected the thermostat to the network manually — not because the device told me to, but because it was the only thing that seemed to work. Even then, the screen stayed stuck on “finish in app,” endlessly spinning, and the setup never actually completed. The hardware itself seems fine, but the onboarding, Wi-Fi setup, and app reliability are not. For a smart thermostat, basic tasks like initial setup and changing networks should be straightforward. Unfortunately, they’re not. “The app never suggested creating a new home, which turned out to be the only way to fix the issue.” Until the app and provisioning process are significantly improved, I would hesitate to recommend this product to anyone who isn’t very patient or very technical.
App does not work heaters only work without any integration from the app. There is no sense of monitoring them. They are not what you are going to buy. Do not buy anything from this company when I reached out to them to tell them how poor the product was it did not matter. I was never going to get any sort of compensation or making the product right this company is a fraud. One star would be gracious of me if I could do anything, it would be negative stars absolute waste of money.
